that's different because that was said since the beginning and is their concept + they're releasing music on top of revealing the member each month. FNC didn't tell us anything and just stopped revealing members.

Alright, so instead of complaining with no background of FNC, I decided to do some research. I didn't even realize that but it's interesting to look how they promoted SF9 before they debuted.

 

The first teasers were released on December 14th, 2015 but they debuted in October 5th, 2016. That is a 10 month difference!

 

Unlike the introduction of this new girl group, SF9 were introduced on FNC NEOZ SCHOOL a predebut project, through video teasers and picture teasers (which were released consecutively each day) sometimes two or three members on the same day. In that sense, FNC is definitely not using the same tactic as they did before.

 

They also didn't confirm them as a group because they had to compete against NEOZ BAND (which is now known as Honeyst) in a competition show known as d.ob (Dance or Band).

 

It seems to be that FNC isn't going to go through the same promotions with this new group. Instead of having them go through a predebut project like NEOZ SCHOOL because they are introduced as a group, they are immediately telling the public there will definitely be a new girl group.

 

I wonder which tactics they will use from NEOZ SCHOOL and which ones they will scrap. Maybe these girls will still be added to NEOZ SCHOOL or maybe they'll have a predebut reality show (or maybe a competition) or maybe they'll just immediately debut.

 

If you want to compare them to AOA's debut then AOA also had picture teasers through July 16th to 23th (2012) consecutively each day. They debuted in August 9th of the same year. That debut is a whole lot faster than SF9 but that was back in 2012 so...
