The other week, a PB korean fan sent me a DM out of the blue asking me if I'm voting for Woolim & Hayoung. I checked her account yesterday, I think she went to the recording and from her 2 tweets I can feel like Woolim was eliminated. She also said that it seems like the eliminated participants were happier that they got eliminated lol. I also have this theory that Woolim was trying to tank on MIXNINE since auditions. She picked a song that doesn't suit her, basically avoiding cameras for the behind shoots (it's like a let's find Woolim everytime), and during their vlive you can tell that she would have rather promote their song than be on MIXNINE. Hopefully Tyler finally gets himself together and actually promote Playback. I just want them to gather as much popularity as they could from the show (considering MIXNINE is a flop on ratings).

 

 

I agree, she has been hiding from everywhere.

Hayoung will continue at least for a bit longer, since she has more online votes and she is doing better overall.

 

I am with Woolim on her decision with FlopNine. Get out while you still can.

 

Also, does anyone know what's going on with the poll? It messed up my vote and now everything is at zero. When I try to vote again it gives me an error message. Also, will the OP be updated with the new names, member, etc?

 

I asked the mods to get OP of the thread, since the previous OP was away from OH for over two months, but I had to wait until it reached 2 months, so I only got it recently. I saved the OP, because I'm planning on changing it to add new graphics and new information as well as add Eunjin.

 

I will ask the mods today for the Award thread, since that one is time limited, and then focus on the OP of this thread.

 

And what error is giving you? You should be able to vote once.

Lee Hayoung is crying, but I think that she is safe due to ranking 20-30 in online voting, showcase and her team winning the battle.

 

 

 

But she might be crying for Woolim that was ranked lower and her team lost.

I was already at 95% that Woolim was eliminated, now that number is even higher.

Oh my god. So my friend who is also a K-Pop fan (but not a die hard as me) just told me he is watching Mix Nine (I saw a show he was watching on his IG story and asked what it was) and he said this, "Uggh. The show is so bad but there are these two girls that I really like on there so I am only watching it for them. I should have just probably went with your suggestion and watch The Unit, you make it sound so much better." And so I asked, "Who are the two girls?"

 

He goes, "Not sure if you would know them? But its these two girls from the same company. Woolim and Hayoung." And I was like, "Nikko, what the hell! Those are the two girls in the music video I showed you! And you even said you liked the rapper!" Then he goes,  "OMG! THAT'S THEM? HOLY S**T!" LOL!

As much as I am glad she is doing well, I want her to leave this show, I feel like this show is really going nowhere for any of these contestants. I blame YG for his conceited remarks about trying to one up The Unit as well as his overly harsh criticism coming not only from him but from the other guest judges too and it majorly backfiring on him. Unfortunately, it also backfired on all of the talented stars in the show too.

 

Sorry for the semi-rant. Some parts might not make sense, I'm way too tired... 

 

 

 

She is starting to get more spotlight. 

 

I initially started to watch the Unit, but dropped it even with me being more invested in it when both shows were announced and started, and one the ones that I was following on the Unit are doing better than the ones I follow on MIXNINE.

 

MIXNINE if you ignore the initial three episodes, the auditions, it gets ok.

The major problem is the editing which made things confusing, but in the last episode the editing was quite nice and the episode was 2h long. So if they keep the new style of editing, then it's great.

 

Also, the show is going up in ratings for the last two episodes. And unlike what some headlines state with the 0% ratings, which never happened (lowest rating was 0.958%, which never rounds to 0%), the show is doing ok for a cable show.

Of course the ratings will be lower compared to the Unit because the Unit airs on KBS which is not cable and anyone in KR gets the channel.

 

Overall, imo, people are getting tired of survival shows. And for me, I don't care so much about what show it is, I just want the girls to be able to show their talents and let others fall in love with them.

 

When the number of votes was leaked on the online voting for episode 4, both Woolim and Hayoung had a combine total of 8011 votes (3403+4608). So combining their votes would put them at #22 for girls, this just shows how little support they had at the time. If you do the math, it's about 600 people voting for both of them every day for a week. It shows that people don't even care enough to vote for them, which takes less than 30 seconds per day.

 

If people don't care for something that is easy, quick and free, and that can help the group grow the fanbase, then will they care when they promote? They need more than "Stan Playback" said once when they release stuff. The group can't survive on so little.

 

I don't want the girls to be in the Unit version X in a few years, like Yang Jiwon. SPICA was great, but very few actually cared, others cared only to say that they deserved better. And the Unit will not bring SPICA back, in MIXNINE the groups still exist so they still have a chance.

 

I want the girls to get some more fans while on the show, so that they don't go into the dungeon for 2 years again or disband due to no one caring.
