Will he win and prove that an idol rapper can do it? I was wondering: Did Bobby composed all of those songs, besides Im Ill? I do know Im Ill is a Jay Z track. I didnt stop listening to it after I watched his performance of it. Bobby travelled all of the way to South Korea at the age of 14 without any idea or direction of where his trainee life will lead him in life. Unless he was recruited by the company and promised a contract deal like GD? Its interesting because why else would his parents allow him to take such a huge leap of faith without any guarantees? From what I remember, Bobby didn't compose any of the songs, he just wrote his own lyrics as any rapper on the show. Most of the songs he did are remixes from 1llionaire especially Dok2 and Bobby put his own lyrics on them. He auditioned in New York and was recruited there. I don't know if YG gave him a contract on the spot. Probably not though. So yeah, he may have came to South Korea without any guarantee that he would make it in the company. It may have been easier for his parents to let him come alone knowing his aunt and grandmother were living in SK so they could keep a watch on him. But since he lived with Hanbin and Jinhwan, the three had to take care of each other the most. That bond will prove to be as powerful as GD and Youngbae's in the future. Here is his last song on SMTM with eng sub. These lyrics are more meaningful than the others cause he's talking about his life. Some lyrics I found interesting: "The American slave who has no money or house/ Why is he so vicious and eager in everything" "With the title called 'idol' on my neck/ I'll proudly earn money and meet my mom" GD signed a contract with YG right away. Yet despite that, he endured Big Bang's survivor show. YG threatened him at times that he would sent him home unless he proved himself. We all know today he wouldn't have dared. lol Perhaps its the same situation with BI and Bobby. All three were recruited at an early age because of their promising skills. I wouldn't be surprised if other companies approached Double B after WINTV, and now because of SMTH3. JYP himself was impressed by Bobby. Why wouldn't YG sweetened a deal by now to fasten them? Their debut is not in questionable matter. Au contraire, its guaranteed. Bobby is from NY? Nicee....hehe. I live in a Korean neighborhood. May luck be kind to me and I come across him one day. His tenacity to achieve his dream, to the point of traveling to another country at such a young age, reminds me of people who migrate here to pursue the American dream. Ahh I can relate so much to him. But in a way, because he doesn't live with his immediate family in SK, he is all alone. Kudos to him. You'll have more luck finding him in Seoul You know how sometimes on TV people exaggerate things to make them more dramatic? I think Bobby was asked to not mention his visits to his family and act like he hasn't seen them since he moved to SK ~ cr ~ ~ cr ~ I wonder how tall he is now. All I remember from WINTV is that he like looked a cute boy with his rabbit teeth. I can't believe he is 20 now. I thought he was 16...He looks different and his attitude is stronger. When he is immerse into the adrenaline of his performances, he resorts to screaming sometimes (like CL). He just has to find his own flow. Since he tends to rap really fast, I would say thats his style right now. He probably does because he thinks thats his strength + combined with great stage presence and I agree. Like he said himself, its also his weakness. At times, he runs out of breath, loses control over his voice and stops rapping or his articulation is not clear enough. Example: Bobby has to improve his breathing technique. That will grant him greater control over his verbal and flow fluency. I wish he would find a balance between using his normal voice and a quick style of rapping. Then he may reach Busta Rhymes' level of skill. lol jk But he is so young and a beast on stage already. I like this performance the best because he was pretty consistent through it. Boy needs to stick to black or brown. But Bobby doesnt need to debut in a group to lose the trainee title...what kind of logic? He has been featured on several songs + released his own through SMTH3 and will soon "debut" again with his own single. Mino debuted in another group before Winner. KSY also debuted solo around the time WIN aired. The awards team should have allowed us to get their badges prior to Winner's debut as they should now with Bobby. Winner's pre-debut "activities" didnt include releasing music like Bobby is doing now. KSY and Mino were featured once on a song but then again, they had officially debuted unlike the rest of their teammates. Im in discussion with the awards team about his individual badge. ----- Based on the requirements for badges, Im trying to persuade them that once Bobby releases his single track, should he promote in music shows, he can get a solo badge (prior to iKON's debut.) That's one of my issues with getting his badge now. There are like 10 official pictures of his and if we choose one just to choose we'll have to keep that badge until next summer when we'll be allowed to change it. So whilst, the other Ikon members get their badges made out of new photoshoots that will come out when Ikon will debut, Bobby's stans will be stucked with whatever we can have now... I've been waiting far too long for my Bobby badge just to have it messed up now. In other news, this is the guy we stan: Except that in order for Bobby to get an individual badge he would have to release a track and promote in music programs which should provide a sufficient amount of official pictures.
