  1. 1. Who do you want Hong Seol to end up with?

  2. 2. Is Yoo Jung a misunderstood hero or truly apathetic towards others?

    • He's just misunderstood!/ His actions are justified.
    • He clearly lacks empathy and is borderline sociopathic./#Pray4Seol
    • I just love him <333

Well, I think this episode was kind of slowed down in terms of pace in comparison to the first two episodes. They used quite a bit of scenes from the webtoon this time, and (I'll put an episode spoiler in white font for now since the episode just aired so I'm assuming that a lot of people haven't watched it yet ^^ -  the scene where Seol gets a low grade because of her groupmates is just SO painful, even more so now that it's in live action form, man, Kim Goeun was so good. It wasn't overdone or underdone at all, and I think it really reflects the painful yet numb feeling of getting a low grade even after so much hard work. ;____;)

I have to say I'm really impressed by the leads tbh. Park Haejin and Kim Goeun are really killing it for me, and they've got pretty good chemistry too. I'm excited for tomorrow's episode!!! \O/

Yeah the pace definitely slowed down, since the backstory has been set and we're getting into the heart of it. Omg that part killed me too. I was cringing and hurting and remembering some of my own presentations  /

How comes no one has posted the behind the scene cuts  :omg:

That's what you're here for  :hurr:

Ninja'd xD

I'm glad they slowed it down to include these heart wrenching and true to life moments. I felt the same way as you and that whole incident hits me hard in particular since it's happened way too many times for me. OTL It's because of scenes like these that I loved the webtoon so much. ;__;

Yes, totally agree!

Also I'm hella curious if they're going to keep the whole scene where YJ beats up that guy in the alley (i think it was the underwear thief? correct me if i'm wrong) cause that was definitely psycho YJ's appearance and the first time Seol saw him go beserk lol but Hae Jin would suit it just fine lol

I'm almost definite they are, the first time I saw this scene I thought it had to be from that sequence:

What did he say to her exactly? :O

Rough translation starting @ 0:43:

IH: "This? I used to be left handed, but because of an accident it became like this. This hand, Yoo Jung did it/made it like this."

HS: "You're saying Sunbae made your hand like that?"

IH: "Of course, just looking at him you wouldn't realize it. You should be careful too. If he stabs you in the back later and you end up crying I won't help you."

question for those who read the webtoon:

i didn't start watching the drama,so i 'm not sure... I read the webtoon though and I know there is a gay couple. But i think i saw one of the dude is playing by a woman?!!

i'm not sure, can someone confirm this?

i was looking forward for this couple, i will be disappointed if it's true :(

Nope, they're in the drama and both the characters are played by men  . One is AP Huh, the teacher we saw in Episode 1 and the other was introduced in Episode 4 that came out today, he's Seol's neighbor. I also would've been very disappointed had the writers took them out of the story but changing one of them to a woman would have been even worse!

There is, I think they just didn't bring them on yet. If you notice, Heo was nagging Seol on work because Jung kind of forced him to give her the job, while he wanted to give it to his BF, aka Seol's neighbor. Perhaps they reduced their parts?

Did I hear in the preview "are you really breaking up with that sunbae?" :wth: they just started "dating"

At least, I heard Jung saying "I'll never get angry at Seol ever again."

Jung is such a babe! He likes Seol and can't help noticing her, wanting to help her, being with her. But the reason he maned up and asked her out was because of In Ho. He's really possissive, he thinks by being nice, helping her and always being by her side, she should listen to his orders.

On another note, no matter how pretty the one playing In Ha is, she really sucks. Her acting is so cringe worthy, from her facial expression to her pronounciation.

In Ho is good to be with, and I think he's already falling for Seol, when she smiled he was happy and proud he made her smile. I want to ship them, but who'd help our evil hero? He's so scary :omg:

The reason Seol pushed Jung away is because she doesn't trust him yet. In Ho said he was the one who damaged his hand, with what that witch said and with her own experience with him, she still doubts him. I agree with her, but please! Just kiss already!

Yeap, that question was definitely there in the preview. I doubt they'll break up, especially since that doesn't really happen in the webtoon, they'll just kind of go a while without talking.

OMG yes about InHa, she's had less than a handful of scenes and she's completely butchering InHa's character up . She's not supposed to be that over the top, but I always imagine her to be calm and psychotic (if that makes sense).

I feel like Seol pushed Jung away in the preview because he touched her boobs by accident or something lmao. The way she covered up her chest made it seem like that for me  .

EP. 4 SUBS

x

Thank you so much! Sorry for bothering you again, but do you remember if Inho said this in the webtoon too? o.o

---

Man...Sungkyung...she's a fave of mine and all, but she's really quite over the top. Her character is so different in comparison to everyone else. OTL Also, I'll have to re-watch episode four, but I hope they don't keep focusing so much on the love triangle as they move forward. ^^;

Not a bother at all but I just don't remember the webtoon that well lol. I'm sure he warned her about Jung but I doubt he said that Jung was the cause of the accident. I could be wrong though it's been a while.  :wut:

wait ep 4 is already subbed?

Yes, it's been released on DramaFever and Dramanice!

Loving the show still.

Question about episode 4

So, was it implied, or does anyone think, that Seol got that school job because of Jung?

Jung is interesting. I feel like he genuinely likes Seol. I also feel like he's sort of a psycho at times, so there's that.

Yes, Jung did get her the position. It was implied that he had dirt on AP Huh and used that as leverage.

Loved episode 4 omg!!'

Are the ratings considered good for this drama or are the average/low??

The rating are excellent! It is a cable drama so I heard anything above 1% is great.

Episodes Ratings:

  1. 3.6
  2. 4.8
  3. 5.2
  4. 5.7

Fingers crossed, it keeps going up from here and snatches reply's weave  :ahmagah:

I really loved this episode. They went very in depth into Jung's mentality and the translation from the webtoon to onscreen of seeing how he reacts when situations don't pan out the way he wants, was flawless. Park Hae Jin once again killing his role.

Also Bek In Ha's abusive past was developed quite well too.

Seol is just too cute and I love how happy Jung gets just from watching her flail about.

And yassss for the AP Huh - Joon Young couple! I'm happy that their scenes aren't watered down but quite identical to the webtoon.

Tomorrow's episode looks soooo good can't wait! The drunk scene between Jung - InHo - Sul is one of my favorite scenes in the comic, had me lmao. Plus we get to meet Joon!  :ahmagah:

I was watching ep 5 and i have something to ask. Are those ajjoshi and the guy working in the major office couple? LOL I never expected a gay couple in this show tho

Yes they are a couple . A lot of fans of the webtoon were worried they wouldn't include them in the drama but there they are lol.

There was something I was confused about. What's the relationship between YJ and Kong Joo Yong? Dramafever didn't sub their entire conversation before Seoul came. Knowing this series though, I'm sure not all the details have been revealed yet. But still, they know each other it seems. YJ seems to call him Hyung.

And who was the brick guy? I thought it would be the landlady's grandson, but the guy looked different.

As far as we know, Joo Yong is also from a well off family (like Yoo Jung's) and their families know each other/attend the same parties, etc. so he's knows Jung since he was a child and is aware of his "true nature".

The brick guy is the landlady's grandson, his face is weird in the sense that you can't really recognize him but that's actually scary alike to how the character was in the webtoon: no distinct features, acts nice.

Can someone explain to me who Younggunie is? K-netz kept talking about him being in the next ep

i dont read the manhwa so idk

Younggun is Seol's classmate. Originally (in the webtoon) he was friends with Jung and after getting rejected by Nam Joo Yeon, Seol comforts him a bit by telling him to cheer up when everyone else was avoiding him. Jung convinces him, in his manipulative/nonchalant way, that Seol likes him and he becomes a obsessed with her and starts stalking her and is constantly telling her she should be with him even when he begins to date Da Young.

Watching it now hahaha

Lucky~

Article: Come swear at the 'Cheese' actors? Drama under controversy for event

Source: Yonhap News via Daum

Reps of the drama announced that they'd be holding an event where 'Cheese in the Trap' fans would get a chance to meet all of the drama's most hated characters in real life and come pick a fight with them/swear at their faces. The person who swears the best will be given an autograph from the webtoon artist.

Lead actor Park Hae Jin will be doing a different event where he fulfills the wish of a viewer.

-

1. [+302, -3] This event was obviously planned without any consideration for the actors at all. I feel so bad for them...

2. [+232, -3] These tvN ba$tards think they can get away with anything because we keep praising them, don't they? If you have beef with a character in the drama, shouldn't you be taking it up with the original webtoon artist who came up with them? Why swear at an actor's face?

3. [+223, -1] This is insanity... how can you be sane and think this is a good idea for an event?

4. [+53, -1] What in the world... who actually came up with a trashy event like this? These actors are doing their jobs perfectly fine, why should they get hate for it?

5. [+41, -0] They've lost their minds, haven't they. Even if you hate the character, it means that the actor is doing his job. I don't care about the character getting hate but the actor playing him should not be getting sworn at to his face at all. I bet they actually laughed while coming up with this idea thinking it was great.

6. [+35, -8] They're just playing a character, why swear at their faces for it? If anyone, I want to swear at Lee Sung Kyung for ruining this drama with her poor acting.

7. [+27, -2] This is so stupid... please cancel the event immediately! The only ones getting hate will be the production company.

8. [+18, -0] Lee Sung Kyung is missing from that line-up

9. [+17, -1] They're crazy... the actors did nothing but do their jobs.

10. [+14, -0] Whoever planned this event should come out so I can swear at his face and see how he likes it
