i became a fan of B.I after watching his Be I performance. was actually a pretty big fan of 1tym and Big Bang before and now a trainee brought me back to YG again (seriously don't wanna see his face )

 

just finished WIN a few days ago and i'd tried my best not to get attached to any member of team B beside B.I because i knew they'd go through another survival show (i'm that weak!). that's why when i found the team b thread here i just lurked around to get information then someone there mentioned B.I thread and after seeing this thread only had 5 pages    i had to make an account. this boy needs more love!!!

hi!! yeah, i wish this place was more active too. sadly, i have school so i can barely get on and most people ignored individual threads u.u welcome tho! nice to meet another fan ~

 

he is sooo precious and too admirable to not pay attention to. i have liked him since march/april and i can already sense him overthrowing CL as my YGE bias and him entering my top 5 male bias list OTL.

 

i usually never stan anyone my age or younger but he is too good to not adore ~even tho he can be harsh as hell when he's in leader mode sometimes gotta love how determined, realistic, and hardworking he is ^^

I can't wait until he debuts. We know he's been working on songs for a while now so I'm really looking forward to hearing his work. Also I'm so glad that the shitty survival shows YG put him through are finally over. Seriously, he was ready to debut back in 2013. It's so funny how some people ignore that the unnecessary pressure he was put under could have easily ruined him. The other boys obviously went through the same thing but we've seen how much more work Hanbin has to put into things. Just bc he's YG's "favorite" doesn't mean he has it easy. It's quite the opposite actually. I guess being the next big thing comes with irrational hate from people so... Not gonna lie, I'm still not over some "open-minded" Ikon fans implying that he's "sort of a bully" bc he called Hongseok out. And when it was voting time, they tried to convince people to vote for Hongseok saying that the boys were actually close and it was the editing that made it seem like they weren't, but obviously Hanbin "bullying" Hong was completely real. smh

I don't feel comfortable with stanning IKON anymore after everything that happened even tho I do love them. But Hanbin is one person I will definitely continue to follow. I'm excited to hear the tracks that he has been working on for their debut. I haven't been disappointed with anything that he has created and/or took part in (except for LIG which should be buried and erased from memory). 

 

Hongseok and Hanbin are my top 2 sorry junjun so their icy start was awkward for me to watch. I think Hanbin was simply doing his job but even I have to admit that he can be too harsh and intimidating at times. I know he has high standards for himself but sometimes I wish he would lower them a bit for the others. 

 

Poor guy was under so much pressure. I am glad he's finally getting what he worked so hard for all these years >0<

I get what you mean. He approaches things with a little bit too much intensity and he doesn't have an overly pleasant aura like Bobby either. He's been like that since WIN. I remember being surprised that this 17 y/o kid was being so real and not making any effort to look more agreeable than he is. So I definitely get that some people might find his attitude off-putting and rude but accusing him of bullying, ostracizing and even sabotaging the newbies? That I have a problem with. Like, he isn't some makjang villain.

 

Aw, sorry to hear that m&m left such a sour taste in your mouth but then again that was the case for almost everyone. I was really disappointed at how everything turned out as well. I hope their debut makes up for it. Jinhyeong was my preferred +1 but I loved Hongseok too so I hope all the best for them.

 

 

We think the same! It was so frustrating to see people, especially those who don't even stan the boys, to come after Hanbin and run wild with 'bullying' bs lol. I was like what? Such a joke. Hanbin is not a bully. He doesn't try to ruin other's chances. He's simply hard and it comes from him being hard on himself. It's his style of learning so he projects it on his teammates since he's the leader and has to teach/lead them. Don't know why people try to make it more than it is... 

 

I really like all of IKON and if they make great music, I know I will jam to it and support them. I'll probably even watch their show lol. But I pictured a different IKON to stan so idk if I can stan the final lineup. Sigh. I hope JinSeok end up somewhere good

What's your favorite performance of Hanbin's? I think mine is the one at 2:41. He was really relaxed here. His flow and lyrics were good as well. BE I had more emotional impact but this one is still my favorite.

Also, I saw on twitter that Hanbin's dad was being accused of embezzlement. It has nothing to do with Hanbin but you know people will be hating anyway. I hope it doesn't get blown out of proportion.

hMMM.... favorite performance of mine.... so hard because he is great in so many bUT I'm going to have to go with the expected answer of Be I ^^ That left a big impression and was such a great way to exit the show. Even my friend who isn't into Hanbin was digging it and replaying it. Plus, the track is A+.

I really did like a lot of the dancing in WIN but I felt like his moves in M&M shone so much more

 

This one showed how fierce and sharp he can be. It just screams SLAY. So tight.

 

 

 

And Hot in Here choreo is probably my most fav one he has ever made. I replay it so often! I just love it. Pluuuuus, his moves in Rocket showed off that he's not only a hip hop dancer but is also great with slow, sensual stuff too.

The first video you posted was the first time I was awed by a dancing performance tbh. They were always good dancers but I hadn't paid much attention to that in WIN even though it was their strongest point. They've all become better dancers, that's for sure. Hanbin is just sex in that performance. 

 

I'm getting really worried about the thing with his dad. I just know that YG antis and even some YG stans are going to have a field day bashing on the kid. I imagine he's become used to it by now but this is a more serious matter as it involves his family and it's awful that K-netz are already acting like a kid who just turned 18 deserves to get hate for something related to his father's business. He can never catch a break.

I don't know sometimes I get frustrated how much people underestimate Hanbin as a rapper it's like if you say he is a good rapper you are seen as delusional like only Bobby and Mino can rap and we can only praise B.I for his leadership and his lyrics.  Majority of my friends dislike him I can't talk much about him   I guess this thread is gonna be my new home.

I know how you feel, it annoys me too. I feel like you can't even praise him outside of composing and leading w/o people coming for you. Actually, even then, people still find something to pick on his leadership skills, his productions, etc... A lot of people I know seem to dislike Hanbin and idk why. He's such a sweetheart who works hard, what's there to hate on?    I mean, not saying everyone needs to appreciate him but I don't get why he's always attacked.

 

 

I think SMTM is what fueled ppl who dislike his rapping even more which sucks bc I think he did well enough under all the pressure that was on him at the time.... but I guess ppl see what they want to see
