At this point, that just seems like a cheap cop-out to me. You are a public figure with international fans, you should be more sensitive when you talk about skin tone, honestly. However, I don't think there's a problem if someone has done something problematic AS LONG as they repent for it in some way and then don't continue/repeat the behavior.
