How to deal with people staring at me in public?

I don't know if I'm just paranoid or whatever, but sometimes, especially when I'm on a train, I feel that somebody is staring at me. I really hate being stared at. I don't know why they're staring at me and that irritates me. Why don't people mind their own business and leave me alone??

Anyone is facing the same problem? How should I deal with this? I thought of wearing sunglasses but then I thought that might be weird

P.S.: not only perverts though, I'm also uncomfortable with FEMALEs staring at me. Also, when I'm walking, I can feel people's eyes on me. I don't know if they're actually staring or it's just a casual glance xD

I just look at my phone tbh. If i am not looking at any device, I just stare into space but in Trains there are people every where so they may think I am starting at Them. So some of the stares you feel may not be directed at You. So do nothing....unless they do more than just Stare.

On days I am feeling brave I will give them a stare down. I will widen my eyes and stare right back until I unnerve them and force them to look away. Most times, I look away and stare at my phone pretending to be occupied.
