It's still an underperforming failure which Nintendo are desperate to sweep under the rug.. Hopefully Platinum would know better than to release the game exclusively on a dead console. Platinum don't really have a dev team spare to work on Bayonetta 3 right now. A large portion are working on Scalebound (Kamiya himself included), Saito's team is working on the Transformers game, Hashimoto on Star Fox and Atsushi on Nier 2.0. Unless Platinum has hired yet more people I'm questioning how they're making a fifth game. It also involves going through Sega to re-obtain Bayonetta's IP, which seems like hell. Hopefully it is real, since every Platinum dev that has been remotely involved with the Bayo franchise has said they wanted to make more games for the series, but... eh, a source better than Kamiya's dreams is needed. This is a company that is currently releasing its highest-profile game on Xbone... And had its last two biggest games announced for Wii U... one of which was announced via a Spike TV interview....
