I really have no idea, actually Maybe, but that seems kinda obvious since there is a whole event around it. Haruwu 37,702 Posted June 18, 2016 Share Posted June 18, 2016 So a random thought came to my head about how weirdness might ensue when Sejeong & Mina (applies to Chaeyeon & maybe the Pledis girls too) get invited onto variety shows while IOI is still active. When they're there without the whole team, and they'll have to introduce themselves individually, they'd need to bear in mind which group they were invited to represent: "Annyeohaseyo, Gugud- wait sorry - IOI's Kim Sejeong imnida!" Or maybe they'd go around introducing themselves as both? that's not likely in Korean culture though Nice, just a comment, i guess you made the font size for their names automatic to fit the space available, but the effect it had on me was that some members' names were being highlighted over others... I'd love for them to be on ALL the shows I'm also lowkey hoping that one of them will be a music show host, and another will go on King of Masked Singer Haebin for KOMS, Sejeong for music show host (or another who is good at variety and is ... loud? xD) I want Running Man and Knowing Brothers the most ;; I hope they get on Weekly Idol!? If you only put "Gugudan's Sejeong & Mina", most people won't give it a click as much as "Gugudan & I.O.I's Sejeong & Mina". Besides, it's technically a lie to say they're only part of Gugudan, or to imply as much and erase that altogether. Hey, good point! It's not that big of a deal mentioning where they came from, because without the show we wouldn't have even come to know them as better or even be interested in the group. It wasn't so much about them begin branded as I.O.I rather than GGD, it was just mentioning how they were introduced to the public at first. Like Delphine said, DIA did so well this comeback, and because this is a debut and Sejeong, Mina and Nayoung were consistently in top 11 throughout the show and overall had more screen time and publicity. Jellyfish sent out one member to represent each unit of the group, visual vocal and dance. Nayoung for visual, Sejeong for vocal and Mina for dance. In the first performance Naong made the most expressions and throughout the show you always saw her winking and smiling in performances. That's probably why there wasn't more Jelpi girls, because they couldn't send them all so they sent one for each unit? This debut song could make it or break it, but I'm kind of thinking that even if the song is bad (which I pray it isn't), crazy PD101 and IOI fans will still go crazy over it. This is just so exciting. I don't know what to do with myself now. I'm so anxious for their debut lol. Add that to the fact that Jellyfish can mediaplay their asses off and seemingly have good connections, they definitely have the tools to get the group on the map. Ike, I'm soooo excited, they just don't have lots of hype on here. If we put together a proper PR team early they could get new international fans, they already have the Koreans on their side. That's a pretty nice theory I understand not wanting to leave a bad impression on newcomers, but this is something that needs to be talked about. It's a legit issue, and both sides should be able to express their views, and try and understand why they hold those stances. It broadens our perspectives, and (specific to this issue) helps us see Gugudan in a different light. And, I mean, I doubt there are any hard feelings. Of course, I get where both of you guys are coming from, but it was just from including 3 members being from PD101, it sounds kind of silly to be debating over since it is the truth on how we came to know the Jelpi Girls. Them being associate with PD101/I.O.I and it being 'overshadowing' for the group. Or I've been reading wrong. .-. i'm not going to put high expectation for their debut song, like what i did with ioi and dream girls was totally dissappointed me. gugudan photo teaser was really ugly, i'm so sorry.
