Seohyun gave songs for SNSD's new album, but the company wouldn't take no

it is not the first time something like this happens to SNSD and others in SM. many SM idols said that they have to compete with professional producers to get their lyrics and songs added to their album. the quality has to be on par with that of the professionals' work for SM to accept it. she already has had her lyrics accepted before and hopefully she'll keep working to become better and passes SM's judgement

that being said, i wonder if they can still perform the songs SM turned down in concerts

Maybe because it's not good enough ?

Oh come on this comeback have to be perfect for SNSD, self-compose can wait, maybe till TTS album?

Idk, i prefer professional composer than idol self-compose tbh

when the last time SM professional composer gave a decent song for snsd ?

From what I remember she wrote for the songs in their album not composed

SM should really let the girls write their songs , was it the hoot album when the girls were givin a song to write for and they fought about who's lyrics gonna make it ??

Sometimes a song can be good and get turned down if the company doesn't think that it fits the image of the group. Hyorin from Sistar had a song that she wrote for their last album and all of the girls liked it. The company told her no. She said it was because it wasn't something that Sistar normally did. It was something different from their previous releases.

Soshi girls have tried writing their own songs since Hoot mini album but SM only accepted like 4 songs from them since then

I hope they don't give up in spite of lacking support from SM

seems fake

its not like SM is shutting her down. They probably honestly done think its up to par. They let Lay and Jonghyun and Boa write and compose their own stuff and its good enough to get on their albums.

If lay's childpoem  can pass off as song  i don't think any  thing like that is stopping them,

And btw deja boo was hilarious to me,.

lmoa, Lay's written exactly one song that was included in an EXO album and now he is being used as a reference. plenty of other SM artists have contributed to their music much much more over the years, SNSD included. using him as a reference in a thread about such an issue is really funny.
