Do you guys visit your local asian markets a lot?

Where I live, there are actually three asian markets down the same street, all about a 5-10 minute drive from each other ( an H Mart and 2 Lotte Plaza's). Today was my first time visiting one of the Lotte Plaza's and I must say, it was pretty nice and I was able to buy a few things that I had wanted to try for a while. I bought pepero, strawberry calpico, ddeokbokki chips, and a lobster ramen cup. All very delicious and I intend to go back there, especially because they have a Korean restaurant in the back and there are some dishes I really want to try, but I went before it was open.

So, do any of you guys frequent your local asian markets? Any suggestions on good snack foods to try out?

Yeah...They're everywhere here, so I wouldn't exactly say local... Within a 10 minute drive from my place, I think there are at least 5.  Most the time it's to buy drinks, because I really like their drinks.  You should try some if you haven't already~

And mochi to~

Have you tried milkis before? If so, is it any good? I was really tempted to buy it, but the strawberry calpico was calling my name.

Not that often. As for snack recommendations, you can try Pocky or Hello Panda.

I've had a lot of pocky before via friends and I really like it so I decided to try the korean version, pepero. Hello Panda is something i'll have to pick up next time.

Same with me.

My family usually buys grocery from one of the local Korean supermarkets or 99 Ranch, though.

Japanese supermarkets are way too pricey according to them, however

Once a month I go to a Korean market that is 30 minutes from my house. I re-stock with kimchi, noodles and other ingredients for my meals.

No. There aren't that many (Only like 3 in the city and the next closest is in the Chicagoland area which is a 45 minute drive). I don't even think the ones here have much Korean or Japanese food at all. It's all Thai/Vietnamese/Chinese

The closest Asian market is an hour away so I only go there every couple of months for rice and veggies to make kimchi (I can't even get napa cabbage in my town), other stuff like soybean paste and seaweed snacks I buy from HMart online. I'm making an order right now actually, rainbow bingsu rice cake and red beans for when company comes over the 4th of July!
