So, to me, he doesn't really have a very close friend, in the group like some of the others. Maybe they want to be closer, but I guess there's the language barrier too, Lay is decent at Korean but sometimes finds it a bit difficult... What do you think? Luhan leaving probably affected him the most since they were super close though... I'm just glad exo is taking care of him lately.. being sweet with him etc. It's going to be hard for awhile until he can show that he is capable of balancing solo activities in China and exo activities. Things may be awkward and as someone mentioned earlier, the language barrier may not help. But I think he has Baekhun and Chen who seem to be looking out for him recently. And though I haven't seen Lay with other members, we don't know what goes on behind doors so maybe the other 7 are growing close to him as well? Idk, I do worry about this a lot. At this point especially I can tell all the members are close and are filling in the holes left behind. Lonely is a weird term to use when he's surrounded by people like brothers to him. That's like saying Sehun is lonely because Tao isn't there. Lonely does not equal missing someone lol And doesn't he still talk with Luhan? But it seems he would be closest with Xiumin and Chen out of the members left. I get that he adores Baek and Sehun, but I jut feel like he's still closer to the former two. He is a busy dude, has some members he appears to be close to within exo, still talks to luhan who he was closest too and is constantly going over to china to do his own individual activities and seems to get a lot of love from his co-stars, so I'm sure he gets lonely in the same way everyone else gets lonely but not because he is the only chinese member. Besides, he is too busy to actually feel lonely. i think fans just overestimate how close he was to the other chinese members. Seems like he still communicates with Luhan s lot, maybe Kris too? But you are the only one who speaks natively your language it can feel lonely and a little tiring b/c the jokes don't translate well, etc so I'm sure he misses having another Chinese.
