Five Cast Members of “Abnormal Summit� Reported to Leave the Show

To the disappointment of fans of the show, it has been reported that five cast members of JTBC’s global variety talk show “Abnormal Summit†will be making their exit.

 

According to an exclusive report by Newsen on June 20, a broadcast official revealed that a few big changes will be made to the show in time for its one-year anniversary, including member changes.

 

It is said that members Julian (Belgium), Robin (France), Sujan (Nepal), Ilya (Russia), and Blair (Australia) have decided to step down from the show and took part in their last broadcast last week. Within the next few days, the MCs and remaining cast members are planning to carry out the first recording with a new format after implementing new changes.

 

Another source explained, “Ahead of the first anniversary this coming July 7, the producers and cast have exchanged opinions on upcoming changes and plans. As a result of the show’s reorganization, MCs Jeon Hyun Moo, Yoo Se Yoon, and Sung Si Kyung will remain as is, while five of the G12 members will be leaving.â€

 

 

While Julian and Robin have stayed on the show as fixed members since its premiere on July 7 of last year, they will be saying their farewells after exactly one year. On the other hand, Sujan, Ilya, and Blair will be stepping down after just six months after joining in January of this year.

I am not that familiar with the show but I have read somewhere (i think it was a NB article?) saying that the show was suffering from low viewership ratings. I guess this change and "new" format is suppose to help the show regain viewers. I hope that they are successful.

That aside, Ilya, Sujan & Blair getting axed from the show, shows that the PDs/writers are not impressed with them. It's a shame though because all 3 showed so much potential when they appeared as stand-ins. Kinda confused with Julian & Robin stepping down. Julian especially brought a lot to the show imo. Anyways, Julian still has his DJ gigs, and Robin has been casted on other shows too, so at least they're still making dough.

Blair may not have talked much but he was really interesting. Sujan and Ilya too. Not everyone have to be loud like Julian but damn even Julian is getting kicked out.

 

Not really sad about Robin because he's kinda useless, it's just his face. He is the Sehun of the show lol.

 

Tyler should be the one who gets kicked out. He was nice in the beginning but these days he act like he's too big of a deal to be present and comes off as annoying af.

On one hand, I'm kinda sad about this, especially Julian (and Takuya if those tweets turn out true). But, I do hope they bring in a more diversity of people this time around.
