KINGDOM HEARTS III - E3 TRAILER

kingdom_hearts_3____by_rosel_d-d8xohsg.p

First of all, I would like to apologize for my influx of game-related (particularly FF and KH) threads,

but since E3 I have just been so excited and eager to discuss anything related to these two.

So after hours of viewing the trailers, these are the things that i have picked up ^^

Nothing confirmed, merely speculations and observations!

Okay first of all, if you haven't seen the trailer view it below. (If you have, view it below!):

1. The worlds seen in the E3 Trailer:

Upon viewing the trailer, you will see Sora in a lush green environment with tall mountain terrain and very old

pillars scattered throughout the over world. A lot of people were assuming that this was Tangled's world

because the scene following after is Sora reaching Rapunzel's Tower. However the world is most likely

Mount Olympus / Olympus Coliseum. This world has been a reoccurring world since the very first title

and has managed to appear in all the mini-series as well. Anyone following KHIII related news would've

known this was coming anyway since the creator's of KHIII mentioned that many of the old worlds will

be returning including Agrabah and Radiant Garden / Hollow bastion.

Speaking of reoccurring worlds, this will be Twilight Town's 4th time to return to the series.

However this time in KHIII the world is seen with more details such as plants growing on the wall

and new shops opening up.

And finally, the FIRST new world to be revealed is none other than previously mentioned: ''Tangled''.

Not much was shown about this world other than the area in which Rapunzel's Tower is located.

Whether or not Rapunzel herself will be the ally for the world of Flynn Rider is still unknown!

Square has said that they are eager to reveal the next world to us at D-23 in November,

so let's anticipate that together!

2. The NEW Keyblades!

In this trailer alone, we are shown TWO new keyblades.

One that resembles the ''Starseeker'' from previous games and another that seems to

be this series version of the ''Olympus Keyblade''. Pictures below:

2Avtlki.png

t7j0uKy.png

The one that resembles the Starseeker keyblade is said to be acquired before Sora even receives his new

outfit as he is seen using it in the D-23 trailer before Sora's new outfit was even revealed and in this trailer

while scaling the walls to fight the Rock Titan.

2.5. The Keyblades Transformation Powers!

As revealed in previous trailers and interviews, in KHIII Sora has the ability to transform his keyblades

into different weapons. The Dual Guns were the first to be revealed and in this trailer,

we can see that they also become a Canon AND A Horse Chariot! Now, from what I've observed,

it seems to be that each keyblade has different transformation powers,

for example the Starseeker 2.0. Keyblade transforms into the 'Dual Guns' and eventually the 'Cannon'.

While the 'Olympus keyblade' transforms into a wheel that goes onto a HORSE DRAWN CHARIOT! Pictures below:

J1x7Pav.png

XybwboT.png

BkqDVpK.png

Can you imagine the endless possibilities with this new feature? Each world having it's own

special keyblade that can unlock it's own special transformation! I'm foaming just even thinking about it!

What do you guys think Tangled's keyblade will transform into? What do you even think it's design

will be like? Comment below if you wish ^^ (I for one think the rod of the Keyblade will be the tower

and will have moss and vines growing around it while the 'head' of the keyblade will be the ''hub'' in which

Rapunzel is kept in... as for the transformation... a giant pan??? (That would be great, lmao!).

3. No more traditional summons?

Each trailer has revealed a new summoning power for Sora, but all so far has been Disney Themed Park

rides.. For example, the train from the D-23 Trailer, the Pirate Ship and the latest, the Tea Cup ride.

People have been speculating that Square has ditched the traditional Disney Characters summoning

and replaced it with these themed park rides... and I wouldn't be suprised seeing as these rides

themselves has a gauge that decreases as it goes on... much like summons and they seem to be controlled

only by Quick-time reaction / Triangle, Square, Circle and Ex buttons. Pictures Below:

bxUjtke.png

rDvsJmo.png

So what do you think? Disney Characters out, Disney themed park rides in?

It wouldn't be too farfetched since it's been reported that not alot of people even used these summons

during battles and such. I know for one that I didn't... infact the only time I ever used summons was

when I needed constant healing and an Auto-Life guarantee should I die in a tough battle. Tinkerbell. Sephiroth.

And who knows, with these keyblade transformation powers, maybe Tangled's keyblade can transform into

something that heals you and your party, to match the theme of Rapunzel's hair and tears' powers.

4. Less sections of the world? Less grinding?

rYKyoeD.png

In one part of the trailer, Sora is seen jumping off a HUGE cliff to the bottom. This suggests that there are

now possibly less little sections to a world and possible even suggests than the worlds are more

open now. But what would that mean for those of us who wants to grind? In the past you could

respawn enemies by leaving two sections and coming back, but if that's out of the picture, how

are we able to respawn the enemies? Is there a timer on the areas for the enemies to respawn?

Or is there just  a whole different system regarding enemies popping up for Kingdom Hearts III?

The producers have openly said that each world now is ''bigger and almost seamless''.

5. The return of Flowmotion and 'Jump Spots'.

The producers of the game has mentioned that Sora will be ''very controllable'' and he will

be the most agile that he has ever been in any of the series. And this trailer seems to show that,

however will be there limitations? Especially with the flowmotion?

U17g5iR.png

If you looked closely in the trailers, there are ''gold twinkles'' shown in areas where Sora can scale

or jump over a high wall. You have to be fast to see them as they disappear almost immediately.

This leads me to believe that even though the trailer doesn't really suggest it, that there will

be limitations to where Sora can jump and even where he can flowmotion. As someone

who has played Dream Drop Distance, I can say that the flowmotion feature made

scaling some of the world almost..... too easy. Heck, it made getting some of the treasures that were

meant to be a challenge and approached in a different manner, easily attainable. So while

it is a great and fun feature, if exposed and exploited, can make the game really easy.

Spoilered the photos because they're big (look for the gold sparkles):

This probably just means that these jumps won't be of our doing but rather are automated. Because I was

wondering how on Earth we would scale the wall WHILE blocking those boulders and not to mention

how we would be able to land on that small rock in between the platforms in the second photo..

6. The attention to freaking DETAILS:

itBcjpA.png

vojlm8p.png

The top: Kingdom Hearts ''Tower Area''.

The bottom photo: Tangled's ''Tower Area''.

Almost Identical!

The game is just in it's pre-alpha stage and things are changing even now (the details of the D-23 Twilight town

has changed in the E3 Trailer and the Disney themed rides lighting has also changed), but even then.. the

details are amazing and the world looks GORGEOUS! For example, there a part in the trailer

that shows Sora using the spell 'Aero' which in past games enshrouds the character in a wind barrier

but in this game seems to be used for offence reasons, but after using it in this trailer the grass

below him is seen affected by the spell! Another thing is when Sora uses magic spells such as ''Fire'',

depending on the spell, the head of the keyblade which change according to the spell:

Fire - Red
Aero - Light Blue

Ice - White

Lightning - Yellow

4OhtOya.png

hehAXy4.png

The ''Aero'' spell affecting the grass beneath Sora's feat. Details never seen in past games before.

gCxLwBA.png

5PDRpPh.png

The Water clarity and the blades of grass flying at the screen as Sora's slides down the hill.

Just little details like this is very appreciated and amazing. Oh and the in-game Rapunzel Tower

area is almost identical to the movies Rapunzel Tower area!

There are much more things to observe in this trailer, like which characters will be RETURNING

based on the chess pieces from the beginning and end, what the outcome may be and such.

Are you excited for KHIII's release? Have you noticed any other things that should be noted?

Post below and Discuss!

And regarding the next world, the producers have said to look forward to D-23 where they will

reveal a new world to us and more gameplay and such!

Oh my god I am so excited for this game–the graphics are gorgeous and the trailer is intriguing. I can't wait till it's released because those worlds look fantastic (though I sincerely hope there'll be a suitable way to grind) as well as the bosses shown; also, though unlikely, I hope Roxas will make an appearance.

Yaaas Tangled!! My sister and I LOVED that movie :ahmagah: :ahmagah: :ahmagah: waaay better then Frozen imo

and transforming Keyblade sounds good although I'm not really a fan of flowmotion tbh  Made everything seem too redundant of what I played of DDD before I sold it :derp:

Yep... spot on about Dream Drop Distance.... let's hope they put some sort of... cap of Flowmotion in III.

This sounds like a good idea

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/718920-kingdom-hearts-iii/72009790

or otherwise, make it completely optional so you can play the game normally without it just takes a but longer I don't mind lol. Also hope they don't bring back those annoying pets in DDD :._.:
