alan may have established herself in Japan as a talented singer with an impressive vocal range, but this success hasn't translated well in the Chinese market. In an attempt to raise her profile in her home country, the singer is competing in the Chinese version of "The X-Factor".

"I've been back in China for a year and feel like I've lost myself. I want to find the old me, the one who worked so hard, so I bravely came here to The X-Factor," alan said during an interview for the show.

alan entered the stage and stood in front of the show's judges, Zhang Ziyi, Eason Chan, Zheng Jun and Lo Ta Yu. The singer sung the song "Hu Huan", her 4th Chinese digital single which was used as the theme song for the movie "The Tibetan Dog", showcasing her vocal strength to the awe of the audience.

When it came time for the judges' critiques, Zhang Ziyi had high praise for the singer.

"I felt like you had this infectious aura...The stage was built for you. I feel like the music and everything else doesn't matter. It's a very comfortable feeling," she said before giving her a yes.

Eason Chan was much more critical, telling alan that she didn't "perform well enough today" before saying no to her continuing with the competition. Another judge agreed that her performance wasn't good, but still gave her the chance to continue on the competition.

According to arama, avex dropped her.

Apparently Avex China got dissolved so she's signed to some crappy label in China, or something. Not to sure about Japan, especially since she released a OST to some anime earlier this year, after the news of her label drama in China (which is what I'm assuming they're talking about at arama).

MAKE IT NOT SO.....

I knew her career had gone downhill slightly but I never imagined she'd have to go on a competition like this. Her voice can be so wonderful. I hope she can get another hit song and have some success again.
