it's not exactly slave contract though it depends on how well you did with your each promoted songs .. Just like how Exid received their first legit income after the successful of Up & Down.. and AoA who once reveal they didn't has income yet and only receive allowance that allow them to buy set of clothes ..plus

 

Trainee debt is no joke...

it's not their fault if they doing well or not. it's all about good promotion. company no matter how big or small , but they know how to promote well their artists, they will gain success

How idol contracts work in general:

 

- You start from a debt because you owe the company for training lessons, housing, costumes and styling, transportation, meals etc. etc. Kpop artists are the best trained celebrities in the world, so training expenses amount to $1,000,000 O_O

- Whatever you start earning goes to cover that debt

- new expenses are added to your debt

- it's not transparent
