She was so so so great till the ending of her belt but it wasn't obvious so whoever says she ruins the entire performance is clearly waiting for her to screw up and point it out... And I'm so annoyed, they showed other girls when it was her turn to sing her part of the chorus the second time! >:( I do hope she gets a chance to get proper vocal training... Most of JYPE's best singers (like Jun.k, Jimin, Yerin, Kwon, Changmin, Yeeun etc.) didn't become good from training at JYPE, they were either great when they joined (like Jimin and Changmin), or got external training (like musicals for Jun.k and Yeeun)... And tbh, I've been a bit irritated at people assuming she wants all the high notes to show off because we don't know who does the line distribution for the songs (aside from Girl of Fire). And even if she did say she'll sing the high notes, it may be because she's the only one that can hit them in the first place, even if she can't hit them properly 100% of the time... #defensive I feel like Minyoung really have everything under control except high notes.. Maybe that why, in Sixteen she wants challenge herself and prove that she can overcome her high notes. I know criticism from JYP can make her confidence worst but also better but each time she still continues to battle herself with highnotes.. JYP for sure knows that Minyoung can do.. I mean Minyoung was included in ot4 lineup that means JYP actually like Minyoung vocal colour.. I hope Minyoung won’t stop there and continue to challenge herself with more highnotes. Many people think Jihyo can carry the role of the main vocal, but most of the songs she picked were in her comfortable range, and when she had to hit high notes she used falsetto pretty often (see some of her falsetto notes in the Nobody performance). It was a risk that looks like it didn't pay off for Minyoung... But her tone is so amazing... Its so rich, and smooth to the ears I wish we got to see more of her singing throughout the show tbh! yeah same. I expected nothing less from Jihyo tbh.. I mean a 10 year old trainee says it all. Jihyo doesn’t even need to be on sixteen tbh.. She can just so straight to the line up and debut. I love everything about Minyoung. Her voice, tone, expression.. Was totally planning to fly to Korea for their debut showcase (whenever that is) so I can see and hear her but for now MERS OMG… yeah.. Sadly.. It seems that she is more confident now than before. It might be because they are trying to justify why their bias is needed and Minyoung is not. I really feel sorry for her, I feel she could really hit those high notes yet she keep cracking which really hit her confidence. No matter what I still think she needs to be in Twice no matter what. People can make their assumptions of what JYP standard is but JYP always has his own twist just like on prev. sixteen ep.. But overall,I really love Minyoung's voice.It's very soothing especially during Nobody's perfomance( I kept replaying her parts on 1st 1min ). The only part she messed up is during high note. I noticed that she did well on high note during rehearsels n training...guess she was just nervous n was worried too much on stage. Anyway, I pray may Minyoung did her very best & give it all she got on her last perfomance & debut in TWICE! Still believe in her <3 Oh,forgot...She did very well on ep 9 too! I saw she got confidence boost there hehe When Mina's singing and Minyoung's support her with her ad libs, I was like ... I can't express how happy I am that she didn't end off the milk voting in last place ;A; I'm still super anxious now though. And that her comments from JYP were ambiguous and similar for both rounds; lack of confidence... But I also believe that they will create the 8th spot for her... THESE ARE TRANSLATIONS, NOT MY PERSONAL OPINION (i wasn't there yesterday lol) 1. Putting aside my personal feelings, and looking at JYP's comments, their stage performance and audience reaction I feel that: Nayeon, Jungyeon, Tzuyu: Confirm Dahyun, Chaeyoung, Jihyo: Good chance Somi Mina Sana Minyoung: Risky Chaeryung Natty: Maybe next time 2. After the second performance a man wearing the 16 tee and a cap was asking Tzuyu if she was ok and what happened on stage. It appears that Tzuyu made some mistakes in her performance. Everyone was saying that her mic fell off, but it didn't seem to affect Tzuyu much. 3. The girls all gave their best performance today. Was really shocked to hear the song, especially for Nayeon, Jungyeon, Minyoung and Jihyo. 4. It was heartbreaking to see that the girls all cried not because hearing their own comments but when the other members were praised. Nayeon cried when Jihyo was praised, Jungyeon cried too when hearing praises for the other girls. Chaeyoung and Dahyun cried when talking about the eliminated girls. 5. Seeing today's performance, feel that Nayeon Jungyeon Tzuyu and Jihyo are confirmed to debut. **Take it with a pinch of salt yeah. Anyhow I trawled through sixteen's dcgall 2 weeks ago after the filming, and all the fanaccounts about Minyoung's reaction (during the time when everyone was laughing, crying etc.) worried me a lot. But at this point I don't care because JYPE will do what they want, as always They were surprised.. that means Minyoung actually proved them.. They wouldn’t be surprised if minyoung did the same thing lol.. JUS TRUST MINYOUNG.. Sixteen DCGALL is literally a bashing thread…. don’t trust them.. (Think I went through at least 100 pages OTL) Those where they posted photos of their entry passes! They didn't bash her at all tbh, in fact they were saying they felt super bad for her and they all wanted to cry for her ;_; Super bad for her as in? guilty? Is it a good thing? But, them feeling bad for her isn't cause of her performance. So in all the fanaccounts everyone said that the girls were laughing and crying when they heard each other get praised etc. right? So when JYP was praising Jihyo, her expression showed that she was happy for Jihyo at first but as it went on she started looking envious and then it just became awkward. Like she didn't know what to feel. In the end they said she was stuck being unable to laugh or cry but her expression really made them wanna cry for her. Some of the audience standing near her were also chanting "its okay its okay" to her. And after that, I think she joined the rest and tried laughing/smiling but it was forced, the audience could see it. I actually think she must have felt disappointed in herself (maybe?) but I'm not her so IDK tbh. So yeah this is a combination of 2 or 3 of the fanaccounts I saw. That's why I was so so super worried for her 2 weeks ago. But now I'm just wondering, how much of this will be aired haha. NOOOOOOOO :( MINYOUNGGGGGGGG :( I know right :/ Truthfully,im not sure at all...I mean,each of them have their own attraction so I really cant choose. Im sure she will did her best today...If im on her place,I would feel the same like she did. I think going solo would be a better opportunity for her and she can so without receiving hate from certain toxic fans who didn't like her on the show. yeah true Omg, thanks a lot for this.
