I'm noticing a good amount of rookies looking up to Taemin in particular which is slightly surprising, but I feel proud nonetheless. Not that I'm undermining Taemin's talents - not at all - I'm just saying when there are other successful soloists who are older than he is (age wise and in terms of years within the industry), it throws me off that so many rookies (most of whom are his age or slightly younger) look up to him. Then again, I think that's exactly the reason why a lot of younger idols respect him: the fact he has amazing star quality and has already achieved so much despite his young age. (I mean the guy was 21 when he released this.) I should stop before my feelings allow me to write essays about Taemin Congrats! but wow no GD, even Taeyang is missing. What the............... I feel terrible for asking this (mind you I barely paid attention to kpop last year) but did either of them come out with a single last year? *hides face* Because neither Jonghyun nor Amber were on the list so I assumed they were only taking soloists that promoted in 2014. But this is to chose who is best from the new soloists who did increase in numbers the last two years. Almost every senior group debuted a solo or two. O_O My guess is that since GD and Taeyang are super established as soloists they want to put more focus on the people that *just* debuted as a solo artist.
