YesIKnowRelax 3,614
As I often do on my blog I made a ranking of girl groups based on downloads and physical sales but from 2011 to recently rather than 2010 to 2012/2013 which was my last one. For instance T-ara had the #1 song of 2011 and #2 of 2012 but in 2013 Number Nine was @160 so their line plummeted.
YesIKnowRelax 3,614
You forgot to post a link to the article I'm a genius LOL sorry This looks confusing I duno why only 2011 is show up but its 2011 2012 2013 2014 on the chart its the highest charting song on GAON's yearly download chart for each group its supposed to show a trend: rising, falling or maintaining. YesIKnowRelax 3,614
sistar is national tier not top you dont really take into account digitals it seems where they have fallen actually i discuss that in my article they haven't really fallen not significantly and it was only last year SNSD and 2NE1 both had bigger dips in their, albeit longer, careers whats important is that even when they fall a bit 2NE1 and SNSD still come out stronger overall than Sistar because of their fan size and for 2NE1 also their ability to sell entire albums digitally not just title tracks however Sistar has been consistent and their collabs and OST success show they have strong public recognition Their next 2 comeback will either cement them as top tier or they'll fall to national
shugo 1,651
Look at these and why people are keep pressing that snsd is flop? Their fall isn't that hard.. And look at this: No one even reach half of what they did...

Sistar has successful solos (Hyorin) and Subunits (Sistar19) and OSTs but APink has no successful solo or unit promos and only Eunji has OSTs that sell well Sistars OST and collab sales are WAYYY higher than APink's Some >>>>>>>>>>> Short Hair Sistar is still ahead for the time being
Fanboi 607
Well Sistar's was a mini album versus a full album Give It To Me did well digitally as a full album with 3 other songs charting in the top 200 other than the title track 2ne1 had a bad 2013 although they bounced back Sistar still made the top 20 with touch my body no OSTs and collabs dont count but it shows the members have public recognition APink hasn't sold non title tracks like Sistar has managed too Sistar does need a bigger fanbase tho What Sistar has though is individual member public recognition while in APink only Eunji and I think Naeun are known (she was the one on WGM married right?) YesIKnowRelax 3,614
they had 2 albums in 2014 and barely sold 2.5 million thats way down on what sistar used to do maybe sistar is ahead but not on same level as 2ne1 , snsd , that bad 2013 still sold 2.5 million digitals they did not have two albums they had a remix album with basically two new songs so not really but it is true their 2014 promos were not up to their 2012 and 2013 promos but not so much that you can say they are on a downward trend a trend need two years in a row I think you did mean Mr. Chu and I wouldn't discuss any Sistar related things with fanboi, he is just a Sistar hater in general. No i meant short hair... I was talking about collabs Some was Soyu with Junggigo short hair was Eunji and Heo Gak I was comparing how well Sistar's solo collabs did compared to APink's
