Jeffrey Jung 19,680 Posted August 17, 2013 Share Posted August 17, 2013 Actor and theater director Baek Won Gil was found dead on August 16.A little after midnight on August 16, the Gangwon-do Fire Department started a search after receiving a call from Baek Won Gil′s junior, who said that the actor hadn′t returned to his home after leaving it that day.A few hours later at about 9:00 a.m., his body was found in the waters of Namdaecheon. Baek Won Gil had been living alone in Yangyang for about three months. He liked to fish with a fish tank in Namdaecheon.Police launched an investigation, assuming that he drowned after he slipped while setting his fish tank into place.The actor′s body was laid down in a funeral hall in Sokcho, but may be moved to Seoul according to the family′s wishes.Baek Won Gil directed such plays as Jump and Break Out.
