What is the difference between Korean and International fans?

Recommended Posts

Korean fans have more opportunities to impact what their artists get to do, via voting and streaming.(Although Ifans have been doing similar things lately) They participate in fansigns..artists generally pay a lot more attention to them than i-fans. They speak the language, can actually speak to the artists. They actually buy the albums.

This is of course an assumption, because I'm not actually a Korean fan.

Multifandom is common internationally, not so much in Korea.

Also, hip hop groups (BTS, BAP, etc), who have that early BB concept are much more popular internationally, than at home.

Also, k fans have more sasaengs, but I think it's only because they are closer to idols, there's more of k fans than int. fans. Though, there has been stalking incidents in international fandom too, esp when oppa goes to their country for concert or fanmeeting.
