She is a very great main vocalist material, she is not a bad dancer but a great one, and she writes and composes songs, she is a full package. Look. She carried the whole performance. Her high notes were so beautiful. Her rap was so cool. And most important, she looked very confident. She is hardworking and thinks about the team. In ep 4, she missed out the team practice bc she was practicing her high notes. Maybe because she doesnt want to make a mistake again but the main reason was she doesnt want her team's performance to get messed up because of her. I found her good and hardworking not hateable. I've only seen the first three episodes so far, but every time she is on screen she just looks so unsure of herself. It's like they are trying to make you pity her, and you kind of want to, but then she doesn't do anything to make you like her either. She comes across as weak-minded and the editing makes it so that she looks pitiful without giving the audience cause to support her. Yeah, she works hard, but so do all the other girls. Minyoung's strength is her singing, but she doesn't even seem confident in that, and when she does look confident but can't deliver she goes back to looking insecure. Minyoung is one of my favorites by the way, she was my top favorite in fact, but there is something keeping me from fully supporting her now. She has so much potential, but whether it's due to her own insecurities or the competition, or simply the editing, she just doesn't come across as someone who is fit to be an idol. She is a victim of evil editing but she is also really lacking in terms of confidence. Her latest performance was a step in the right direction but she still has a lot to prove. As of right now I think her unpopularity is due to the fact that the rest of the girls are a lot more ready than she is. With only 7 spots, it's natural to weed out members that might bring the group down, be it through their personality, stage presence, etc. Minyoung just simply does not seem ready for the idol life yet. As to answer your question, people who didn't know her from before, got a bad first impression of her from the show. No matter though, her chance of debuting remains almost 100%. Then Cecilia withdrew then Sana replaced her and then Lena messed up so now there is Sixteen. Its cruel how the other 4 needs to risk their chance that they already had just because of a member.
