Digiwon 5,843 Posted February 26, 2019 Share Posted February 26, 2019 I know this will sound harsh and probably hurt the stans of said idols, but at this point I feel zero sympathy for chinese idols in kpop groups if they don't even have an actual line with words. If anything their presence in the group actually annoys me, because they are the embodiment of "filler" member and I find infuriating how we are supposed to care about them if we barely know how they sound like unless we search to the depths of youtube. I know they go through a lot hardships that korean members dont have to deal with, like missing home, dealing with xenophobia, having unfair treatment etc, but I also don't care how cute, funny or beautiful you are, if you aren't going to sing or be present when the group needs you at the end of the day you're an useless member. I know I should feel bad for them because they have no say in that, at least in most cases, but seeing kpop groups with members that don't even sing is so annoying because it feels like they are just wasting space when the less, the better imo. You know, less is more. Kpop companies should think twice before adding chinese members in kpop groups honestly, as much I like some of them and I'm glad they are successful, we all know in few years they are all already doing separated stuff from their group and in worst cases they will act like they never even started their career in a kpop group. 10 12 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This mentality kpop fans have of having to be aware of every single kpop group even when they dislike some is the main reason why a lot of bashing, jealousy, comparison, slutshaming and fanwars happen on a daily basis, and that's the tea. It shows when you notice the CLC girls are all more interesting and charismatic than (g)i-dle girls, aside Soyeon. I could recommend thousands of books from fiction to non fiction but these ppl really don't give a shit cause all they care about is look above others so they push an agenda based on weak foundations. The immersion is great, but doesn't feel magical or smth like that. I think everything is too commercial rn, a game is released today and just few hours later there's already a whole summary about how the game is and how it ends. Its all about the internet now. Also capcom can remake how many resident evils they want except code veronica. Please never touch the masterpiece that is code veronica. There's no reason to remake something that is already perfect. Graphics aren't everything. As long as the visual is charming, I'm completely fine if it lacks polygons. Oh yeah, and videogame graphics are super overrated. I'm not questioning the validity of such estatements but imagine hearing about your beauty everyday that you end up thinking your only worth is your face. Also, can we remember how jealousy is a human trait that unfortunately can show up anywhere? And how people can be fake to you just because you're beautiful? Or how many won't even bother talk to you because your visual intimidates them? I mean I'd love to be flawless looking but the fact is, I'm not and I don't know how it is like for extremely beautiful people, so I'd rather just not judge them and act like their problems are lesser because they have it "easier". Everybody who comes to this world have their own cross to carry. I think we are too brainwashed by media, that mostly only shows good looking people enjoying the good life. But the fact is, media =/= real life. It's kinda sad how easy it is to forget that. Humans after all are just humans and there's no semigods as media would like to make you believe. Probably already the best beat drop in a kpop song this year btw, there's strong brazilian funk vibes but like better and sound so powerful I fkin love it And the verses!! Jennie finally showed her skills so damn well, she's really a good singer and has good flow. Rose and Jisoo's parts are very unique and addictive. And the rap duo in english was so good. Some do ofc, vicariously living by other's success, but they are pretty much exception. The main reason kpop fans brag so much about their faves is to make the haters shut up. They see their biases being attacked, get mad and will retaliate back with something that will piss off the haters more. Which is ironic bc it actually makes the haters even more loud and the cycle repeats. Both look so conventionally attractive and basic. Leon could easily pass as Claire's brother more than Chris himself. Claire is looking like Jill with long hair. Ew.
