Nah....the reason why they not restore twice album in order for stray kids album sale to surpass twice album sale is not because twice is a girl group, and they don't want jyp no 1 moneymaker is a girl group naaah...It's because the uncertainty....that all twice member will renew their contract...therefore jyp need to shift their no1 artist public image from twice to stray kids...because there is no certainty twice will still be jyp artist in the future..for stray kidz to be jyp no 1 moneymaker image, they need all the hype they can...especially when it comes to album sale....this is just the same tactic on how sm try to shift all the hype and fan that red velvet have to aespa..and you can see the outcome...almost all red velvet fan support aespa....they still support red velvet thou....but when red velvet disband they all can just easily migrate to support another sm artist which is aespa and not leaving sm completely by following all the ex sm artist but follow sm next artist that sm just created..... sm don't want to lose those fan when their fav group disband...so they try to indirect persuade the existing fan to love another group that just debut...so the existing fan still exist not leaving sm...and a new fan will be added since they just start to know and love that new group...therefore those fan will be bigger and bigger...and the main point is...those new big group of fan will consistently give sm money.....yeah jyp want to copy this method!  basically they nerf the existing artist, so the new one can shine!  dont hate on stray kid or aespa thou....they really great they have that x factor that make new fan fall for them example ME !I love aespa while i only like redvelvet. But its so clear what sm and jyp did....because why u need to nerf the other artist??? While you still can make money from them, right???right??? Unless they not renew the contract .....

Red Velvet may have the highest number of token stans. This is only for international fans to be clear. Blackpink and Twice have competed for top spot for years while Red Velvet has been weaker than both in terms of album sales and international fans. Blinks and Onces did not get along because of the competition. Which made it easy for both fandoms to support Red Velvet as they will not have to worry Red Velvet taking their fave's spot.

Red Velvet gets lot of support and praise for their music but that doesn't translate into sales because the support is not from true fans, it is from multi stans or token stans.

- TWICE bside are actually good especially there 2019 onwards bside. I love how diverse there bside have become after the concept change. There 2019 bsides gets the most hype, yes they are amazing. But I think there earlier bside are also great. Some ONCEs pretend to like TWICE concept change at first. I think we all warmed up to it eventually. It took me awhile to warm up to there concept change. Honestly, I didn't like it at first. I wore a mask for months pretending to like it. But now, I LOVE it. When they release "Fancy You", I was like "IS THIS TWICE?", I was confused & disappointed. I love the new TWICE, I'm so sorry for reacting like that at first.

- I have no problem with different versions of songs. I don't know why fans hate the different versions & call them cheap. Sometimes when the original version gets boring, the new version becomes listenable. I hate when kpop companies drop the new version less than a month after the original was released. Give it like 5 - 6 months. For example, Bad Boy english version was released just when I was getting tried of the Korean version. I played the English version for the next 6 months. TT is another example. I love both the Korean & Japanese version. When the Korean version got boring, I started to play the Japanese version.

- One of the reason why people can't take Girl Crush concept seriously is because the personality contradicts the stage performance. Some members look badass on stage but in reality just a bunch of cuteness. If they kept the on stage personas in reality than it would have much more impact.

- I hope Chungha never comes back with another 'Bicycle'. Please don't.

- Yuju voice from Gfriend is sometimes annoying. I listen Gfriend songs & always wanted to know who was the members' voice that was annoying me. Only to find out it was Yuju, btw I didn't know the members back then.

- Irene isn't untalented. It's just that her visuals are more hyped. Most of her fans only stan her because her visual. They mostly preach about her visual. She may not have good stage presence but her dancing is good. They never talk about her dancing, only her visuals.

- Bad Boy & Psycho is not the best velvet title track, not even Red Velvet's best. Automatic is the best velvet title track. Everything was perfect.

- "Jennie is lazy" is an old argument & need to be forgotten (for now?) because BP in recent years haven't done anything to prove that.

I don't know how unpopular this really is but not all ggs need to be super "versatile" or able to pull of every single concept well. While I do agree they should have the versatility to branch out into their career and show different sides, the public shouldn't try to push or petition them to something out of their range. For example, I see some of you guys hating on bp for not changing their concept or twice for being "the cute concept group." Red Velvet is an exception, as they are known for being able to embody nearly every concept well, they have their red and velvet sides, but not every group needs to be that way? In 2016-2019(?) Twice specialized in their colourpop genre while BlackPink remains famous for their GC concept. Not that they can't pull of other concepts but I don't see the need for a major concept change as I feel most kpop ggs would get "boring" and "unoriginal" if they all had the same or similar concepts, unless they have a unique charm to attract stans. That being said, I feel that all ggs need versatility to some extent, showcased especially in their debut, but should stick to their own style, not to jump a sexy concept or sumn completely out of their range, especially when there are underage members. Take twices debut for example, not really a cutesy concept but still fits their colorpop genre, allowing them to branch out into their later career.

(dont judge I am just giving examples)

International fans keep complaining why Korean public keep sleeping on their favorite artists who is popular in international, but never complaining themselves why they keep sleeping on K-Chart Digital monster.

99% of Digital monster in K-Chart (except those big groups) receive ridiculously cold respond from international K-pop fans.

So in the end, it is fair. Digital monsters getting income from Korea local streaming websites; those only-popular-in-overseas groups getting income from international albums sales.

And income generated from K-Streaming sites is much lesser than album sales.

So stop complaining, your artists still get the money.

I am sick of onces using the excuse "stability" as to why Jeongyeon should be the main vocalist. Sure she is the most stable in the group, but that is often mistaken for better techniques. While I do believe JYPE should give her more lines, I do not think she suit the main vocalist position. Plus their main vocalist nowadays barely gets 10 seconds.

Produce 48 is really boring. None of the trainees stood out to me at all. By the 2nd episode in P101 I already was rooting for people and knew their names...

Izone is really boring as a group too

K-Pop fans of this generation are so obsessed with how many albums sales, how much MV views, how many music shows win, how many awards win, etc. Even when the artist is already recognized as one of the best in current generation.

People won't care how many awards has won by The Beatles. People won't cares how many albums sales achieved by Lady Gaga. People won't care about the MV views for Michael Jackson.

When the artist is a legend, they will remained as a legend, because of their songs. Not how many awards they had won, how much MV views they achieved, how many albums they sold.

I don't understand why SM added Yeri to Red Velvet. Koeun is also a 99 liner and better singer than Yeri/  Irene/ Joy. Or Jungyeon who is 97 liner, cute as hell and currently an actress would have been a better choice. She is only one year younger than Joy and Ref Velvet would have been better with her as most of them are reserved/ shy.

Yeri didn't fit with Red Velvet concepts. Ice cream cake was fine but Automatic is a sensual romantic song and not really appropriate for her at the age of 16.

Minzy needs Chungha's stylist

Her styling is doing her such a disservice, where is she

Also I don't really understand the choreography for this song. Minzy's a good dancer, so why does this song look so stiff... maybe I just don't understand it lol

Steven Universe is probably the one show where I kind of agree with people who say "they're shoving gay stuff down kids throats". That show did kinda cross into the realm of obsessive, excessive and borderline fetish-y sometimes with the LGBT stuff.

For example I think most people can agree that the act of gem "fusion", aka two characters dancing sensually to merge together, is a bit much for a kids show. And stuff like that also doesn't really help with the stigma and stereotype of gay people being more overtly sexual than straight people.

And here's another thing, a lot of people don't like it when straight love is shoehorned into their cartoons either. Quite a few fans least favorite episodes of Adventure Time are the ones that focus on Finn's (heterosexual) love life, especially when he's acting like a lovesick puppy.

- I don't like the tone of modern western rappers (Doja, Megan, Cardi, etc). I don't know why but I just hate it. I prefer their singing to their rapping.

- And Savage by Megan is one of the worst song of 2020.

Most of BTS songs don't have any deep meaning or profound lyrics. Why do I hear so much about their mastery of lyrics? Fake love, DNA, Mic drop, Idol- all of them have meh or cringe lyrics.

- I'm so sick of this fake love

- Did you see my bag

- you can't stop me loving myself

i think those high-waisted tennis skirts or shorts that lots of kpop girl groups, egirls and tiktokers wear are so ugly. i get it's supposed to make your legs look long but it makes torso look stumpy. when the part on your waist is 80% of the skirt and the other 20 is the actual bottom that doesn't even cover your cheeks it's impractical. it looks dorky pulled up way too high

Most solo artists choreography aren't that great. Yes, there are SOME that are great. But other than those, most of them are a let down. Group choreography always deliver.

Somi has become repetitive. She has done the same theme for her all of 3 MVs, that is -> party, party & party with pretty looking outfits + beat drop.

Most of YG solo MVs look repetitive. They did the same theme for Jennie & Rose, now Somi is stuck with it too.

I hope they let her expand more & this current concept ain't for her.

All of BP bside sound old (which isn't really a bad thing). They all seem like songs that would be released in 2010 - 2014. Teddy is just searching through his draft & picking out some songs. Which I don't understand when he has enough time to write a song since BP only comes back once per year.

BP hasn't expand with their sound much. There is something still missing. They all go by the same theme (they don't sound similar) but they could be more diverse.

I HATE the YG mv moodboard/color palette!

It was cool and quirky and aesthetic the first time. I'm sick of seeing the same pink, the same purple, the same angel wings, the same mis matched soft bright scrapbook aesthetic, the same late-2000s feel in every single new music video. Lovesick girls, Solo, Dumb Dumb, On the Ground, and Gone all look THE EXACT SAME!

Literally! It was cool in LSG but now it's so boring. How hard is it to just go with something different?

If we pieced together all the recent YG mvs, it'll look like Blackpink and Somi were one group and they released a singular title song mv.

Unpopular these opinions may be on Somi but....

1) she should try to make a career in the West (or at least do English songs ala Rose) in addition to the Korean market. Its obvious her winning P101 was due to the international vote (which of course Mnet eliminated after that) and she has tons of international fans. It's not even the fact she's half-white and looks it, (there are other mixed idols that don't have the fanbase she does) but she exudes Westerner despite being raised almost her whole life in S. Korea (this is due to her dad I think). She seems to be able to switch from sorta-Canadian accented English to fluent Korean better than most Western-raised idols.

and....

2)Even though she feels "at home" with The Black Label (or so she says) they have no idea what to do with her. She's not a teen anymore so they can't market her as a teen bop queen (which her first release tried to go for with "Birthday") and yet on the opposite end going "sexy" wouldn't work for her (she's not Jennie) either even though she's in her 20s now. She's also not the type to do ballads. She fits perfectly as the "face" of a group (I will always think she would have been great in Itzy) but a solo star? What does she do that stands out from the Kpop crowd? I don't know.

The reason Blackpink is popular is because they remain in controversies all the time. YG has perfected their marketing strategy. Lack of content to keep blinks crying about mistreatment and create controversies every week to remain relevant and keep the fans fighting for them. They are like the Kardashians of kpop.

I think Yoona looks Vietnamese. Vietnamese girls are so pretty I swear. Recently found out Margaret Cho found out she wasn't actually Korean, but is Chinese, so you never know. Yoona might ethnically be not Korean and my conspiracy theory is that she is at least part Vietnamese and one or both of her parents fled Vietnam after the war as children and settled in Korea. Then they grew up there and forgot their Vietnamese roots or kept quiet about it and then gave birth tho Yoona then raised her to be Korean bc Korea is hella xenophobic.
