The Unpopular Opinions Thread (Read OP)

Kpop fans hate some groups more than others. They will try to cover their feelings with writing it off as critical analysis and objective criticism, but the way they word their "analysis" shows it comes from from their feelings, not critical thinking.

While some kpop fans are called obsessive, kpop antis are on another level of obsessive. Some kpop companies are losing big time by not hiring these people to create narratives against their competitors. They will even do it for free just to get that high.

I don’t know if I already said it but 127 does not need 3467 main vocalists when we all know Taeil and Doyoung are a level ahead. I’m a Haechan stan but when I saw that he was added to the main vocalists line I laughed. The gap is so obvious and it shows sometimes SM acts like YG with the unique tone bs.

Stray Kids rap is so cringey i cannot stand this Rap-screaming thingy, it makes it hard for me to get into the group's music..in the latest track they released for Kingdom, they sounded like they were trying so hard and it does not sound appealing, and the fact that there are people who were digging it is just beyond me lol

Recently I'm starting to get his feel from  BTS..that they know "they are bigger and better than anyone else", as in no matter what they throw out there, will sell.

It is to a point that Ifeel they are not trying hard anymore, specifically talking about their latest release ,"Butter" this song is like Dynamite's uglier sister, it sounds similar, and  it's not doing anything for me and too forgetful. I might sound bitter, but it will be a shame if a song like this is eligible for Song of The year awards. It's not fair.

I also have no idea what bts is doing. With dynamite, even though they told their fans we wanted to release this song to up lift you during hard times 🥺 and their fans actually bought that, it was obvious they only released it to get a grammy nomination and they knew the grammy's would only nominate them with an english song. But, idk what I expected after that. I think I may have figured oh they tried to get a grammy and they failed so now they'll just go back to what they were doing before, but then they released butter and it was like ?? What are you trying to do? Are you going to keep releasing really bad mediocre songs till you finally get a grammy or what? idk what their trying to do now but their next comebacks are going to be really important in showing where their really at and how they are

Butter’s not perfect, the rap parts are pretty bad to be honest, but I still generally like BTS’s recent offerings, in fact Boy With Luv is one of my jams.

I get that people call it “generic pop” music but they still release stuff like Idol so it’s not like they aren’t experimenting.

And yes, I would go as far as to say that gradually making their songs “easier to digest” in recent years is a contributing factor to their success.

Just watched Knowing Brother. This is what Kpop has turned into thanks to stan culture. I genuinelly don't get how Giselle could make it into ÆSPA other than being from an affluent family. How can anyone insinuate this girl is anywhere close to being able to imitate rapping and, most importantly, believe it? Has Kpop really rotten their ears/brains THAT much? Girl couldn't even enunciate properly, had trouble breathing, lost the beat five times in a space of less than half a minute... Not even the bare minimum. You know you suck when even Irene could outrap you and call it a day. As someone who really likes hiphop music and enjoys listening to some Krappers, this is an utter disgrace. This is what you sound like when you and your completely wasted friends mumble along to a song on your way home from a clubbing night. Shame on you, SM. And shame on your weird ass criteria.

Joy's solo debut...is probably the most underwhelming that I have ever witnessed in my whole life as a kpop fan.

How dare SME give her an album full of remakes? As a group member going solo, it is a golden opportunity to showcase your individuality, style and color in music..no matter how much she tried to convince us that it is something she always want to do and was hoping that "mothers and daughter to enjoy her album", I'm not buying this lame justification of making this lazy album...heck, i feel she's even lying to herself.. and it is reflecting on her stage, where is Joy that is oozing charisma ? the girl's voice was shaking during her music bank interview.. SM did her dirty and you cannot convince me otherwise, what a waste of talent and opportunity, it felt to me this whole debut was rushed just to keep RV fans quiet for a while.

 Giselle singing>>>>>>her rapping

I saw some people calling Giselle SM strongest rapper and... I know hyping our faves is normal but I genuinely think even Chanyeol is more of a rapper tbh. Mark is still the only SM rapper whose rapping actually bring something to the song.

Aespa should stick to singing, she has a nice voice it’s not like she can’t sing unlike some who can’t do anything else

A lot of kpop fans love to talk sheet about Knetizens but if their own comments were in Korean and on a Korean forum, so many of them would get sued for hate against idols and bullying them 😁

Sf9 Taeyang should be officially both the center and the face the group not Rowoon and Chani. This man carries the whole group on his shoulders.

Lowkey it was a blessing in disguise that Rowoon didn't participate in most of Kingdom stages, he always overshadowed the members and this time, everyone knew what is the real Sf9. Taeyang, Inseong, Hwiyoung,  Jaeyon  and Zuho were monsters on stage.

Objectively NCT dream vocal line remains the weakest line in SM definitely not Aespa 🤫🤭

SM will give Redvelevet other comebacks ,irene can recover especially with recent bully Idols scandals .

I really hate the "support" cultural in Kpop.

Fandom in Kpop is like, they stan this group / solo, thus no matter how sucks their songs is, they still force themselves to like the song.

It should not be like this, the real music cultural is,  I like the song, then I listen to the song. I don't even listen to song that I do not like, even they are from my favorite artists.

Fans saying they like "unique voice" is just another way of saying they know their fave is lacking as a singer and hype their vocal tone to hide their lack of skills lol
