- these western advancements KPOP groups are making is doing nothing for KPOP. the cultural and operational difference between the west and korea is just too huge, KPOP will never be mainstream or be bringing in enough bucks like japan/ china. people need to chill tf down and realise we're not going to get any further than this.

 

- kpop as a whole is regressing. japan is tired of them, china has shut them off. the western validation is just a facade and will not be bringing in much $$$ to the industry. 2nd gen KPOP was the most glorious period with DBSK, BB, SJ, SNSD and many others. back then it was such heydays, groups were debuting every other day and the hallyu wave was a real force sweeping across asia (the continent that actually matters), displacing several established industries (j-pop, taiwanese pop etc). i honestly don't see how 4th gen will be better as many companies are getting too smug about their glorious past and concerned with putting on a facade to make an impression. back in the days all companies were chasing profits and training their idols to top perfection. now companies just want to make a quick buck by putting any tom, dick or harry in gucci, dior or something. the quality they've produced has dropped dramatically, no more interesting choreos, talented vocals or witty variety show personalities. idols basically don't have to work hard anymore.

 

- SM is on a slow but steady decline. killing EXO while not having a new cash cow is their most fatal move. the death of SM is quite honestly the death of kpop. they've opened every gen with H.O.T/ DBSK/ EXO and were the forefronts of pushing kpop to japan and china (i.e where cash can be made). they nailed the idol business down to a T.

 

- jennie stans are the most vile and insane akgae stans. any criticism directed towards YG (piece of shit needs to be jailed asap) and/or blackpink and/or her immediately gets silenced and often drowned with rubbish comebacks such as "jealous haters" "jennie stays rich" "#kween #unbothered". just because you keep rehashing the same old boring shit will not make the criticisms invalid. there are a million things wrong with YG and blackpink is severely mismanaged as fuck. esp with regards to the favourtism issue, we are talking about 3 other human beings with legit feelings and desires. all the criticism are valid and it doesn't do jennie any good in the long run if things constantly get sweep under. if blackpink's career doesn't flourish appropriately and they do not become a lasting group (tbh don't see them lasting), jennie is also pretty much nothing. she pretty much has the world in her hands rn only because she has 3 glorious back up dancers + a big slimy misogynistic CEO backing her for no logical reason. once all this support goes, korea will find their new IT girl at the snap of a finger. but if blackpink can flourish as a group, that'll be the best for everyone involved.

 

- also, regarding all the attention chanel pours into jennie, it's like 50% GD's legacy, with the other 50% being her able to swipe that big fat credit card from her parents. the sooner her fans can swallow this, the more peace there will be in the kpop realm. she isn't any more into fashion and any more special than her other 3 bandmates. they all drown themselves in designer wear too. she was just picked by YG (favouritism again) to carry on GD's legacy. i notice people seem to forget to credit GD for it so this point is specifically meant for GD.

I actually don't mind having a period.

Cramps are shitty yeah but I'd rather 5 days of annoyance than 2/3 months of no period but me worrying if there's something wrong with my body. A regular cycle gives so many indications of my health. Irregular cycle makes me worry if I'm too stressed, there's a problem with my hormones, if I'm gaining or losing too much weight, if my immune system is in bad shape or if there's a problem with my fertility.

Previous gen stans just come off as insecure by constantly downplaying achievements/sales of the current generation groups. Records made by old groups are meant to be broken. And it's even sillier how ifans out of all people are talking about how idol groups from this generation don't have the same impact in Korea compared to previous generation groups; people that have never stepped foot in Korea or interacted with Korean society won't have a complete understanding of the current trends or how much of an impact idol groups have on Korean society/culture.

EACH has their own vocal colour and adds differently to their songs. When they utilize their vocal abilities, the results are amazing see: All their title tracks, SJJD discography, most of their ballads(Mistake, Forever,Complete, Day by day, Star3x, Mr Mr B-sides)

Even their dance line adds substantially to their discography. I’d even argue they are the best vocal group overall in kpop.

I don't believe in the stereotype that cats are less affectionate than dogs, it's just that cats way of showing affection is less demonstrative and more subtle, but they can even be more affectionate if you raise them since the first 3 months

This is probably very shallow but when I'm watching a romantic/rom com type of a movie, I need both the leads to be equally hot or I can't get into it. Especially if the movie has nothing else going on for it, at least give me the eye candy. I only tolerated twilight cause everyone was so gorgeous.

i always see exols and reveluvs complaining about how sm is pushing nct in the west when they could be pushing exo and rv there instead but.........why? that was the same justification for that silly bbmas voting, "to give them more exposure in the west". it's a waste of time, kpop will never be truly big BIG there and for exo at least, at this point in their careers they should be focusing on their indiv careers. as for rv, if not for the whole china situation, sm should have looked into pushing them in china, irene is already one of the most popular female k-idols there. if anything sm should have promoted them properly in japan but now we end up with both groups basically being nugu there. i for one am happy enough that they decided on nct as their guinea pig. leave america, the country that can't tell them apart from bts despite not having the same damn number of members, to them

It seems a bit harsh to use Big 3 privilege card against Day6. Because they are a band, it is harder for them to gain both domestic and international fans compared to usual idol groups. Day6 dont have bigger privilege than the idol groups from non-big 3 agencies that are relatively known (e.g. Cube, Pledis, FNC, etc).

Why do I feel like Blackpink members instagram posts are all regulated by the company? And I don't like the way they keep on promoting certain products like lenses for example. Igi they are the ambassadors of those products but sometimes it feels just forced. Just my two cents, no hate tho.
