The Unpopular Opinions Thread (Read OP)

While Seventeen are the most successful group in Pledis in terms of fandom and $$, After School are the group with the most public recognition in Pledis. They have hit songs esp the iconic 'Because of You', and have/had members popular with general public (Uee, Kahi, Lizzy).

Nu'est and Seventeen don't have public recognition that After School have (their music and members are not popular with the general public), and After School along with Son Dambi contributed significantly in building the Pledis brand.

Kpop idols shouldn't be pressured to learn multiple languages. Most of them learn Chinese and Japanese and now also English.

Learning one language is already difficult, especially if you don't have enough time to study because of exhausting activities, but tackling three languages is insane.

Idols barely have time to sleep, so it shouldn't be expected of them to sacrifice time to study.

I really like a lot of exo's songs and I like most of the members (especially the vocalists) BUT

jesus, I really can't stand park chanyeol and sehun, I get such a bad vibe from them, I can't help but get this feeling that they are jerks, I'm sorry

I dislike how people shame china bars for buying gifts for there biases.

I mean I'm not a big fan of it myself but it's not my money so therefore none of my business judging other for how they spend there money. China bars also do charities to bad you only concentrate on the flashy gifts and why do people still think china bar is a 1 person paying for all of this. Actually thousands members of the bar donate for it. 0u0plz.png

people call 'best dancer' to everybody in kpop nowadays while nobody acknowledges the fact that jihyo is THE best dancer in this generation.

from expressions to energy. she has everything. even in the hardest parts where she might look a bit messy, she doesn't care and does the whole move. reminds me of the popular dance videos from youtube accounts like 1million dance or tricia miranda or willdabeast.

i mean look:

and these two dances are actually harder than some of the latest releases. (and she still sounds good live, check their concerts)

Why does it seem like such a hard concept to get? If u dislike something, don't talk about it. If you say you dislike or even hate it but you keep talking about it then you actually enjoy it, maybe not the thing itself but talking about the thing u supposedly dislike. Therefore u don't fully dislike/hate it

This doesn't apply for criticism since everyone deserves it from time to time, but to these ppl who keep talking abt something bc they "hate" it. Thats just annoying and everyone can notice ur passion but u

Coloring Book is OMG's most prominent era, song and concept. Even if the song isn't your style, you seriously can't deny that the MV and the styling are super beautiful. As much as Red Velvet is my favorite girl group, OMG literally did something similar to Rookie vibe but succeeded in turning it into something even more vibrant and cheerful!!

People who were uncomfortable with Arya (18 years old, and the actress is 22) and Gendry consensual sex scene because "we see her grow up, she debut as a child !" but didn't find any problem with Tommen and Margaery, Sansa and Danny being raped while still being young ... are just hypocrites. You barely see a side boob, don't act like prude when you watch the whole show without any problem.

I'm sure the same people would cheer if it was Sansa, and yet, she was only one year older than Maisie when she debut. Yeah, Sophie Turner looks like an adult, yes, Maisie looks younger that she really is, but it must be awful for her to see all this comments not liking this scene.

Although USA is the biggest music market in the world but their top artists still need the money from other people around the world including Asian countries because their lifestyle is expensive. In some cases, it is understandable because these singers bring world class music that is worth the money to watch, but in some cases I hope people are not blinded with the sparkles & corporate push.

---

Japan quite possibly has one of the most advanced technology for world-class stage performances but I don't think the growth of their local music quite catch up with this. I think this is because travelling the world and meeting diverse kind of people & culture & learning what current music people around the world like, what kind of beats are currently popular around the world, can help you to grow your music to a higher level. I believe US musicians are in the front row of music progress because the country is quite possibly the most diverse/multicultural country in the world.

i'm officially done with One Piece. can't other people plz fight, I'm sick and tired of seeing Luffy fight for the billionth time. The anime has been publishing for 22 years, but we bearly see anyone fight beside Luffy, Zoro and Sanji. I saved 16 eps to watch in one go and literally nothing happened, I'm kinda over the whole anime, the 16 eps could have been cut down to 4-5 eps and I would still feel like there are stretching the series.

I honestly don't get why people stream individual fancams of members in group choreos or even rewatch over and over again

I usually check everyone out once or twice if I'm impressed, but the choreo always looks better in the group, K-Pop choreos are meant for formations and transitions etc not so much the individual moves. And there's a lot of standing around at the side of the stage for some choreos too.
