I think jaebum and jennie REALLY look alike and if someone told me that they are twin siblings I would easily believe it tbh

Edit: holy shit I just found out that both also play piano, are capricorns and the only child of their family

Honestly, I think I'll never buy this idea that Taeyong is actually all that cutie pie and soft person people talk about, and that he shows on camera while he isn't on stage. For example, I get that Kai is a cutie off stage but a beast on stage. Taeyong though... I think he is genuinely a good person, and maybe can be even a cute and soft guy from time to time, but there's something about how he speaks in a weak tone, and also few other things, that doesn't seem spontaneous to me. The way I see it, he is just trying to control his image after all the retaliation he got due his scandal; ever since it happened. I think he got really hurt from it and worried about his career; especially considering how idol culture and netizens are in South Korea. And I doubt we'll see how he really is, or at least capture a glance of it, any soon. And that's ok.

I'm upset with the title songs Starship have been picking for MONSTA X, since Fighter. You know when I listen to Trespass, Rush and especially All In, I wonder what went wrong. After All In/Stuck era, it was one song weaker than the other. And its not that they were lacking for a good song, they had powerful bsides like Be Quiet, Blind and Queen, all of these without a doubt are better than Fighter, and still??? Beautiful was the only really good choice, Dramarama was cool but we also had From Zero which should've been promoted more, like Hero and Stuck, as bsides. Jealousy is a nice, fun addictive song, but is nowhere as consistent as the ones past Fighter, although, sexy concept fits them perfectly. But honestly, I think that out of all the title songs MX released after the Golden Age that was All In, the best one was their japanese debut song, Spotlight.

I'm so sick of this culture in kpop when idols have to pretend they are perfect and only have eyes for their fans. Its so outdated, it creates so many delusionals and it limits so much the idols. Kpop would be so much better without this bs. I mean, if fans give up kpop because their oppas are (how shocking) humans who just want to perform and not be a damn robot without any flaws, let these fans go. Speaking of flaws, flaws arent something worth praising, but at least its real. Stop putting idols on a pedestal and pretending they're gods who can do no wrong, they are human too, like you and me, and thats okay. I bet all of us have done a lot of embarrassing shit before, and although it doesnt give them a free pass to fuck up on more serious issues, we should understand that one mistake here and there is at least predictable. But my main point is, idc if its korean culture or not, all kpop industry should give up the "idol only have eyes for you!!!/member!!" promo. Because it wont make kpop break and it wont feed any sick culture of delusion. If someone leaves because of it, great, natural selection, most of us will stay for the music, choreo, fashion, variety etc anyway.

This is really unpopular, but But Go, by A.Kor, is easily one of the best kpop songs by a girl group ever. It's been a year since I've found it and every time I listen to it, it still sounds amazing. It's a really powerful and addictive song that explored really well the skills of each member, and I love that indian/arab vibe. Its a total banger, yet the chorus have that delicate feel that breaks the aggressiveness of the song, actually, it balances it perfectly.

It's really sad that even now when they are pretty much disbanded this group still gets a lot of hate because of Kemy's diss track to Park Bom, especially because the other members had nothing to do with it and no one ever stops to appreciate what they left. I'm not a fan of the rest of their music and the MV sucks, but the song is simply awesome especially for girl crush concept fans and people who enjoy kpop songs that go hard. But no one ever shows love to this masterpiece, even Color Me Rad (another underrated great gcc song) gets love from time to time.

Not exactly an unpopular opinion, but sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who checks kpop mainly because of the music and not because of the popularity of the groups, the visuals or the quality of the music videos. Yeah that is also great too but I think that kpop music is just fun idc which group is making it, and I see even kpop fans themselves mocking kpop and it seem like they never even bothered to check the rest besides their faves but still they feel like criticizing idgi.

1. hate songs where i can only remember the chorus and nothing else

2. Producers should learn a thing with Ring Ding Dong tbh, you may hate it but its a fact that every single part of that song is fucking memorable, like, every single bit of it and im not even exaggerating. From the beginning with Jonghyun singing baby, to the ring ding dong thing, to the drums, to that opening after the drums get heavier with "buttlerfly", to onews "bad boy", to the go rock go rock go rock, to minho's rap, to the break out, break out, etc... Not even RDD, there's a lot of popular and unpopular songs that have great production too, so its pretty upsetting when popular artists take this route in their songs.

At least, producers could add more details in a song to the point its not just random speaking/singing, then the chorus changes everything so everyone just wait for the chorus and beat drop because thats the only part that matters.

Not sure how unpopular this is and i mean no shade, but most of f(x) b-sides are better than many girl groups title songs.

Mr boogie, butterfly, milk, shadow, Dracula, snapshot, airplane, milkshake, pretty girl, etc etc, all of these could do well as title songs since they are catchy, well produced and pleasant to the ears.

I think its really sad that the fact that groups with a discography worth being called a discography is rare in kpop, since most songs tend to sound like fillers, with nothing really special or unique about it. I know there are more kpop groups, bg and gg, with great discography, but f(x) really is the major example of it, though i dont think this particular bit is an unpopular opinion.

SM groups dont get everything handed to them, they are popular exactly because of the quality SM is known for, in terms of music, originality and concept. And the idols definitely never got their popularity handed to them just because of SM is the most popular kpop company. We all know that most cases of overworked idols come from SM. Their privilege is earned, its a consequence of the pressure to work hard that that company does on them.

There's a huge difference between being good looking and being attractive.

First, there is many ways to be attracted to someone, sexually is only the most known.

Second, a good looking person objectively speaking is someone who just fit the standards, like muscles, curves, face ratio, jawline etc.

An attractive person is someone who makes you want to know more about them, literally attracts your attention, and this attention can be directed in different ways toward this person (sexual interest, intellectual interest, etc).

People mix these way too much. Its like if you're pretty or handsome you automatically have to be attractive. Not at all! People only attract those who are similar or complement them in some way, doesn't matter if they are considered ugly, average or beautiful.

Surely those who are pleasant to the eyes get more attention, but it doesn't mean much except they attract more people, and often this reason is because of an ideal shoved by media, or because someone is in the spotlight, or simply for biological reason; and if they are seen by more people, they will obviously attract more, its just logical. Now ask who these celebs might be attracted to.. Not as many that are attracted to them in proportion, you can bet.

Now if you analyze the amount of people that a single person feel attracted to, and consider that despite being one of the thousand idk many who feel attracted to a celeb, you will realize that this person is also attracted to a limited variety of people, and the same happens with everyone, even with asexuals (since they can be attracted to someone in another way other than sexual) so the attraction game is more like a system.

And this system is great because it works for everybody. But because people mix so much good looks as being attractive, because that's what we see everyday in all kinds of media (and to be fair isn't even that hard to be good looking with the right tools, and people forget a lot about it too), we make such a mess about such a simple thing.

People have their own taste about things and even if a girl is considered beautiful by a lot of people, one will say "I don't think so", and you know why? Because this person doesn't feel attracted to this so called beautiful person in any way, and other people are. And even if this person really fit the standard beauty, that type of person who would be considered beautiful in all cultures, this person still wouldn't consider her all that, you know why? Because since they're not attracted to this beautiful person, it doesn't make difference the way she looks. It never did. Its what someone can offer to your growth, emotions or intellect that makes a difference. And fortunately, what you can offer is different for different individuals, in different degrees, in different ways, and that's how you attract and are attracted, or don't. You only get attracted to someone for advantage. Its a fact.

So yeah just remember that if youre wondering why someone is considered beautiful and/or attractive and you don't think so, just move on, because you won't get any advantage or enlightment even if you get your answer.

Despite the limitations, The Sims 2 still IS the best The Sims game, even nowadays. Sure it doesn't have as many options as 3 and 4, but nothing can beat its crazy and unique characters and the crazy neighbourhoods with stories that are complex and fun as mexican soap operas. The concepts are far more interesting too: one neighbourhood is a desert where scientists, soldiers, and aliens live and everyone is looking for a fight; other is all Shakespeare books put together; and in another all sims have a different problem to deal with that they hide from the rest. Plus the aliens and toddlers are included without you having to pay for it. Although the characters have limited features, I think they are more expressive too. I always laugh so hard when I play it. You can't play that game and not have fun.

I prefer seeing my faves getting little by little everyday than seeing them achieving everything at once. I'm not saying that being fan of a very popular group isn't amazing, I myself followed some and I know each group have their own struggles. But seeing my ultimate group evolving after each little frustration and achievement feels more meaningful to me.

Like MX for example... I feel happy when they share with mbbs their surprise to see their names in a cafe, or when they get recognized on street, or when they take a selfie next to their ad. I like to notice how their confidence change for better on stage after a world tour. It's just nice to feel their frustrations, like when MBC made them make their own choreo as promise to make them perform but then gave it to other groups.... Because after a bad time the good time feel more impactful. Like after 2 years and few months of their debut, they got their first win not against an empty house, but against known kpop groups like Block B and EXID. It's like a roller coaster, but the happiness in good times compensate all the frustration.

I think it's ok to be underrated or overlooked as long as you keep working and expanding.

I don't think there's anything that stands out about Dreamcatcher's music. I was so excited about them when I found out that at least one kpop group would make use of rock sound, but they sound pretty much like any other opening anime song made by a jrock group or these groups that made success back in 2007 when emo scene was a thing. Its that type of music that sound extremely manufactured, I dare to say even more than other kpop groups music that at least try to experiment new things. Their concept still is amazing, that I cannot argue about, but their music are nothing to be praised. Rock music isn't just formula, they experiment a lot too and that's how all their subgenres were created. You can't tell it when you hear the songs Dreamcatcher pulls out. Maybe it's just about taste, but this still is my opinion.

If a fellow metalhead asked me to recommend a kpop song, Dreamcatcher wouldn't be my first option. Overdose, Monster, All In, Red Light, Boy In Luv, all of these have more similarities with rock and metal than DC's songs.
