Digiwon 5,843 Posted January 27, 2018 Share Posted January 27, 2018 tbh i wish starship would just stop with the mvs that follows a story. just give us a mv of them performing and its fine. all in is one of their best songs but the music video is boring, while stuck that was just a bside got a special mv of them performing the song and now it has more views than all in. another proof is that hero is their most viewed mv and its literally just them dancing on a rooftop. so why starship doesnt stick to it? it costs way less money and its better. i find these types of mvs that have a complex story for mx pretty disappointing. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's not like the others are that bad, it's just that they sound unpolished. Their cover/remix of So Hot though is actually really good. I would love if they had more songs like that. Plagiarism is when you steal multiple aspects of a song, sample is when you use a specific part you like and then remix it in a different way in your own song. The producer of bbom bbom saw potential in mimimi that wasnt used, and he was right. The DJ/producer of mimimi didnt used the beat the way it is in bbom bbom, and he didnt produced anything similar in the rest of the song, so he cant accuse them of plagiarism. Samples happens all the time. The possibly most famous pop song from this century, toxic, sampled an indian beat from the 70s. My fave example is the prodigy, because they made one of my fav songs, no good, sampling only one line from an old song no one really cared about and remixed it in no good, which is just heavy eletronic beats and someone singing "youre no good for me, i dont need nobody, dont need no one, thats no good for me" repeatdly. The whole song used a simple line from another song, but it wasn't plagiarism. It was just recycled with criativity. That is a sample... So stop accusing everything of plagiarism. I agree it tends to happen often in kpop, but bbom was a sample of mimimi, not plagiarism. They basically just recycled something that wasnt used. And that's a good thing imo. Btw, nugu groups that produce quality music content are overlooked ALL the time by A LOT of fans of popular groups, just because they're... Nugus. That's the only reason.
