Everyone can do what they want with their own bodies, sometimes people do it because of lack of estimation in themselves, others for some malformation of a part of the body and hoping for a better result, others because it became a habit with the amount of money they have. Sure they care more about soloists, ballads and indie groups but it isn't true the fact they don't care about kpop music. Or why many kpop songs became national hits still remembered after years and chart high on Gaon yearly chart? Koreans can care about soloists and kpop. It depends on their mood and other factors. She didn't care about people's opinion.
