They keep telling the new Kpop generation to "learn about the history of Kpop" and to "respect the second generation groups" because "without them, X group wouldn't have gotten where they are today ". While it is true that we should acknowledge the predecessors, do second generation puritans acknowledge the first Kpop groups? It seems not, because VIPs like to act like BigBang was the first "Hip-Hop" group. Like b**ch, have you ever heard of Dynamic Duo? Deux? Epik High, MFBTY, Drunken Tiger, Garion? THEY are the ones who brought Hip-Hop to Korea (and GD wishes he had half their skills). How 'bout Sones, bragging about how SNSD is the "first girl group able to compete with boy groups "? Are you serious? Wonder Girls ( who are also from second generation) were WAY bigger than SNSD, until JYP ruined them by sending them to America. S.E.S and Fin.K.L anyone? No? I guess it's time for some people to LEARN about the HISTORY of Kpop!!! Practice what you preach. And also, the group responsible for beginning the "Hallyu wave" was a band called Seo Taji and the boys and it's lead singer, Seo Taji. HE brought Kmusic to America. Full Moon 7,229 Posted June 20, 2017 Share Posted June 20, 2017 listening to reboot again today reminded me of how SUPERIOR wonder girls' discography was. reboot alone is better than what most kpop groups can put out. but wonder world was amazing too. plus the gems you'd find in previous work. truly one of the most underrated and best discographies in kpop. idk how they're not mentioned more often when this question gets asked, but 2ne1 with all the garbage in their albums are. I cant believe how much truth has been spilled in just one post fuck I hate how underrated WG music is and the fact that Reboot its self produced its unbelievable. I am like that probably who knows. Some groups where most people say they have the best discography are for me mediocre or average at best. Dont know if the sound is outdated, its not my style or is actually mediocre but i cant get my head around the fact people consider some of those albums or discographies good. Wonder Girls, Mamamoo and BTS are literally the only 3 groups where i actually added at least one whole album of theirs in my playlist and not just 3 or 4 songs max.
