Like honestly I'm not gonna listen to a song with deep lyrics if it's a really bad song. Not everything has to be some sort of statement towards society. I'd rather have a really good instrumental and great vocals with fluffy lyrics than a mediocre instrumental and average vocals and what k-pop fans call 'deep lyrics' Also more Boy Groups should do softer concepts sometimes, the 'look at me I'm a manly man' hip-hop tropical house concept is kinda tired at this point. I'm a gay man and it makes me really uncomfortable, I don't like the idea that we're used to fulfill your fantasies. Being a fan of one group / one artist that you deem to be the best doesn't make you a better person than the rest of us. Oh_oppareul 136 Posted February 3, 2020 Share Posted February 3, 2020 (edited) I feel like we fanboys are given such a bad rep sometimes, like fangirls will go and tell us not to generalise them and then they go and generalise us as lazy, only caring about looks, group hopping, and opportunistic. I'd just like one day where I didn't feel attacked, honestly. Just because we don't want to waste time streaming a music video or launching a twitter campaign every time our fave falls over a rock, or discussing lyrical effects on the human emotion, doesn't mean we don't support them. Anyway, I just want kpop fans to stop generalising full-stop. I've been a kpop fan since 2013 (If I can even still call myself a kpop fan even though I only stan Twice) . Can we all please try to get along in an acceptable way? can we all learn boundaries? can we all take a moment to remember kpop isn't everything?
