I don't know why people say for example Taeyeon is an old wench and should retire (she is 27 wtf in which world is this old ). It's really hard for me getting into these poor 16 year old kids. Idols that are 25-35 are in my opinion in their prime, that is where they are lookwise most attractive (both male and female) for me and music wise aswell, since they know what they are doing at this point. These nonsensical debates about mulitfandoms or people who don't buy albums/ don't vote not being fans are seriously a joke. People seem to forget this whole fanculture stuff is just a hobby and everyone is completely free to choose how much money/ time they want to invest in it and everyone can define themselves what being a fan means to them. She has no outstanding talents, her vocals are weak, dancing is alright, her visuals aswell aren't outstanding and especially not for korean standards so I am really baffeled how her solo could happen in the first place. Just that big 3 groups basically have a starter pack that gives them from debut (even before that) more opportunities. More broadcast time, interviews, show appearances etc. It doesn't mean they work less or that they will have guaranteed succes in any case but it just means that the chances to get successfull are higher and more likely to happen in a shorter amount of time than for nugus. Also at least gugudan is one of the few new gen ggs that tries to get some own identity with their concepts and not trying to be twice 2.0 so much. Would you really prefer this? You can't really do much if a person lacks real compassion and empathy but at least showing some fake concern means they aren't completely dead inside and have at least some sense of moral. It got out of hand tho since people just started to use it for upvotes/ downvotes and tried to achieve that with the biggest bullshit they could come up with instead of valid opinions. So ye if this thread keeps having actual opinions and interesting points even tho they might not be that unpopular and people actually feel tamed enough to not just blindly put out bashes and hate since that will actually will be deleted from this thread than why not. I can understand tho that they are not universally liked voices everyone would enjoy and just are my personal preference, probably closest to what people like to call "vocal color". I am neutral about it, I don't think it is a bad idea and am looking forward to see how it will go but on the other hand I dind't have minded much if it never happened. It's noisy but ye I'm bopping to it regularly. As long as the song has a nice flow I am fine with it. My problem is actually when there is so much emphasis on making the chorus outstanding that the chorus and the verses sound like 2 completely different songs (exid songs come to mind as an exmaple but there are a lot of others), it really gets me out of a song.
