^  I usually like Bobby but this time around I don't think the growl/nasal style worked for me.   I was listening to Runaway this morning and was surprised that I didn't like it much, cause I usually like his rap.

 

On that note.  I can't stand Rapmon's rapping either.  I was listening to Dope earlier and I remembered why I couldn't get into BTS, I simply don't like Rapmon's rapping style.  I like Suga's and Jhopes's rapping style better.

 

Song Mino's not my style either    His style's too slow for me.  Fortunately, it doesn't ruin Winner's songs for me.  And I do like Fear

 

Also, I liked BTS' Run and I need you, but dislike BST and Spring Day.  Like the vocal line used to be not so breathy when singing, now they sound like they run out of breath with every word    I don't think I like this style either.  Hoping they ditch this kind of style for their upcoming comeback.

Since a thread got locked before I could reply and it is an unpopular opinion, here it is.

 

I prefer live AR over out of breath live singing.

 

I mean I don't usually go see concerts where people sing while they dance hard, so my ear is honestly not used to messy vocals. Don't get me wrong, I like seeing people sing live but not if it's to the point that it takes me out of the song. KPOP concerts for me are more about the whole performance package both visually and aurally, so I enjoy it better if they lipsync than if they sing live but sound like a mess. Now, if my faves sing their slower songs on live AR, then that's when I would have a problem.

 

Regarding listening to cd at home. I mostly like the energy in KPOP concerts. If I go to a concert for live singing it would be for andrea bocelli and the like. I mean in KPOP concerts I can barely hear properly anyways because of singalongs and screams, I technically can't see them live either because they're ant sized, so I end up looking at the monitors anyway T.T so yeah, I guess that's why it doesn't bother me if they lipsync. Also I think live AR is different from the cd, cause those inevitably have studio tweaking going on. Live AR doesn't, from my understanding it's just recorded live period. So it gets a pass from me. It's not like I don't know how my boys sound live anyway.

I think Twice deserves their award. I think what differentiates MaMa from MMA more than digitals/physicals etc. is that they take into consideration not just Korean people's opinion but basically also the opinions of those affected by the hallyu as well (other asian nation and more recently the west). It's kinda hard to quantify overall popularity and impact of course considering it spans nationz, but in this case I think Twice deserved that award. As for whether Signal as a song deserves it, if I recall correctly Twice broke into the Japanese market with that song and it also did well in Korea(although other songs did better), so anyway, I think there is some merit there.

 

All that said, I am not a fan of Twice. I voted Red Velvet in evrything except when they were in direct competition with Exo.

Baekhyun and Kai are so tired lately that I am willing to to wait forever for an exo comeback if it means they can rest.  I hate that I see them get so tired every concert   i knew this would happen.  My poor boys
