probably a jyp-cube connection we all know the owner opf cube was former part of jyp in fact manager of g.o.d.

True facts but I think you're thinking too far back. Seungyeon and Dami weren't trainees at the time Cube's president was at JYP. The connection is probably more S. Tiger produced for Cube more back in the day and wanted to venture out to start his own company called AB Entertainment. Cube already had the infrastructure in place to train artists. I've never seen or heard actual proof but the rumors been out there since EXID debuted.

Cube is promoting Yoojin right; glad to see they aren't missing this big Real Man opportunity and are doing all the right things. Hopefully they can also do that for the other members in future too.

 

About the tags, maybe start adding CLC to it e.g. Seunyeon (CLC) like how the badges are marked; then people can add them when they make threads.

That sounds like a good idea. Yeah originally more people wanted the tags gone than to keep them which is why I only left Sorn and Yoojin.

I don't keep up with CLC like I do 4minute and BtoB, so I was just wondering if the cube babies have anything planned for the rest of the year? Given that all the other groups'll be touring.

I guess they could potentially slot CLC sometime around December or early January. I want to think G.NA will comeback first since she's been in studio recording and its been awhile since she's released anything. If they don't have a comeback, I wouldn't mind some Thai/Chinese activities and maybe another variety show.

Seungyeon's dad tweeted some Touch in Sol makeup product that had CLC branding on it but he deleted the tweet. With Yoojin's KBS CF that's up to 6 in about 6 months although I think their contract with SMART uniform along with GOT7 and B1A4 is up.

This idea that every artist has to hit it big right away like a big 3 group is ridiculous. FNC is clearly #4 nowadays but anyone recall how AOA's debut did? I would think 6 CFs in the span of 6 months is pretty successful. Ofc every company is going to use the money their more popular artists make to reinvest. It's a business.

Pretty sure. He's posted pictures with her not seen elsewhere. He knows some English due to his business travels. His profile picture used to be a picture of them hiking.

Seems like it got lost in the last few pages but apparently there is someone out there with video of Seungyeon and A Pink doing a practice video for 'Eighteen' which we've figured out was originally an A Pink song. The original tweet got deleted but someone posted screencaps on Reddit. For those don't follow A Pink, original member Yookyung left A Pink back in 2013. A Cube announced at the time that they were thinking of adding a replacement member but obviously decided against it in the end. I think the only female trainees casual fans knew of at the time were Seunghee and Sorn. Yeeun probably had just joined Cube so she wouldn't have had a chance but Yoojin and Seungyeon were trainees at the same time A Pink were. I just thought it was interesting that A Cube was more serious about ti than fans expected. Also kind of tells me original A Pink member Kim Soae (Video

) had left Cube by then.

I actually think it might be from pre debut. I thought it was photoshop from the individual shots but they look skinnier in the group one too. Everyone except Sorn had dark hair when they did G.NA's MV and Sorn has shorter hair now. Might just be a sponsor and not CF. I didn't see CLC anywhere on the website for that product.

Like under people said I knew about a lot of Cube's trainees. Yeeun was the only one that was a complete unknown to me. Yoojin and Seungyeon have been training from when A Pink were still trainees so almost four years. Seunghee basically got the Naeun treatment from Cube predebut, getting put in a bunch of music videos. I wasn't sure what Cube had planned for Sorn following K-Pop Star Hunt but she fit the age group of a potential girl group. Someone else actually started the thread as mainly a place to compile any information about a potential girl group out there. I ended up taking over the OP but there really wasn't much until they all appeared in G.NA's MV and began busking. Just a few predebut pictures acquired on various social media platforms when they still had them.

Pretty close. Yeeun was unknown since she joined Cube the lastest and we confused Seungyeon with Hyerin at the time. Would have been 6 if Seohyun hadn't left.

 

I really hope they don't have a concept like Apink or 4minute. I want them to have a strong feminine concept. Something like EXID or Ladies' Code but obviously with their own flare.

Pretty spot on it seems? A lot of comparisons to Ladies' Code.

just wanted to let you guys know Cube girls will be debuting soon. according to my source, the girls have already filmed their music video and are just waiting for the big 3 rookie groups (Red Velvet, WINNER) to end promotions (which will be in like 2-3 weeks). we should be expecting them sometime in September. their concept will be along the lines of a spy concept, kinda like 4Minute's Volume Up and BEAST's Shadow. and if Cecilia (the former 6Mix girl) is not in JYP, she may be in Cube debuting in this group. the group will have around 7-8 members, some we know as the general public and others we don't. thats all I got.

 

EDIT: they may be debuting before or after 6Mix, but since they shot their music video I expect them in a month or so; usually groups film the MV a month or less before debut

RIP 6Mix. Would not have minded Cecilia or Lena actually joining Cube though. I don't know if I believe CLC filmed their MV this far ahead of debut. If true though, in hindsight, it might have been better if they had debuted a bit earlier.

Yeah the first 30 pages was May 2013 - January 2015 so not even that bad compared to some Big 3 groups. I remember back on Hallyu8 how ridiculously long the EXO thread was before they debuted.

 

Seohyun had a Facebook and ask.fm for a time. Both gone now. There was rumors she was dating a BTS member and obviously fans kept harassing her about it. I don't recall the leg injury rumors but it makes sense. She was in G.NA's MV but not on a single live performance just a few weeks later. I can't image Cube would have included her in the MV if she was just about to get cut.

Missed everyone 

 

Anyways my two cents. Cube is notorious for no media play and keeping the majority of their trainees hidden from the public eye. They finally do the opposite here and everyone is still unhappy. Can't win. Obviously EVERY single girl on Produce 101 is there to get some publicity before debuting with their company. That's the whole concept of the show. The hypocrisy sometimes... Also obviously Cube can't just yank Eunbin from the show because they have to retain good relations with MNet for music programs and varieties. Can you image the comments? "Cube thinks they're some big company that they can just break an agreement with MNet."

 

I have no clue who this Chinese Australian trainee people were referring to is. I haven't heard anything about that. I did think Elkie looked a lot like Cecilia Boey from 6Mix who I remember people thought was the fifth member of CLC and not Yeeun. I don't buy this idea that Cube intended for a 7 member girl group all along and wanted to let Elkie and Eunbin train more. Yeeun barely had any training before debut and CLC was originally a 6 member group with Go Seohyun. Cube artists continue training and taking lessons after debut anyways so that argument just doesn't make sense.

 

Personally I'm still sad about Seohyun being cut as well as some older trainees (Yeji, Soae, Sojin, and Jang Hayoung) never debuting but whatever clean slate. Better Elikie and Eunbin debut now than get stuck training for 4-5 years like Yoojin and Seungyeon did. Like I said I know Cube only takes in trainees they see have potential to improve so I know down the road they'll become stronger idols with age and experience.
