ahhh Oh Yeri... I love her voice... so she's their vocal teacher too?

random but yeah this is Oh Yeri's song:

I think she was always more of a vocal coach. There was an article years ago about how most of their vocal coaches are former singers themselves, just not famous ones. Beast, 4Minute, G.NA, and A Pink had one named Young Ji who was also technically an artist under Cube.

Seungyeon's dad:

His English on Twitter is pretty good. Looked him up and he runs his own import/export business so her family must be pretty well off. He said she's pretty good at Japanese but her English isn't as good as his. He studied Chinese in college and seems to have lots of business associates in Hong Kong.

so Ashley went from JYP->Cube->Polaris i'm guessing

Was she in JYP? I didn't know that. Her last YouTube cover was September 2011. That video from her in a drama was May 2012. She debuted under Polaris March 2013.

There is a picture floating around the net of her, Lena and Nayeon... Lena is a former JYP trainee and Nayeon is currently a JYP trainee. I'm guessing she moved between each of the labels quickly.

That's very interesting to know. Makes me even wonder more how JYP handles trainees going to Cube. If you find that picture could you share it with me please :)? I'm a big fan of Lena too.

It's also really great to go the NB article about 2015 rookie idol debuts and see so many comments and upvotes about CLC. Korea may not be warmed up them yet but they have a strong international following for a rookie group which is awesome to see

The one thing Cube seems to consistently media play about is that their idols are scandal free. I think they've shown repeatedly they don't operate under the mindset that any publicity is good publicity. I know lots of fans are frustrated about Cube not hyping up CLC but at this point its their style and there's nothing we can do except support the girls. I think down the line it will dividends with the public like it has for Beast, 4Minute, and BTOB. Netizens are even changing their opinion about Rain nowadays.

I agree. Crazy satisified me for the entire year so I'll be happy to wait for a while.

Except it won't satisfy crazy elitist 4Nias that are always clamoring for 4Minute to have more than one comeback once a year. Honestly, I don't see CLC coming back for the rest of 2015. Reality is CLC isn't making Cube any money yet and they need their bigger artists to bring in some money. Cube's revenue took a hit the first half of the year with a new group debuting as well as their public listing. Rain's rumored to be coming back sometime late this year or early 2016. He co-produces his own music so whenever he's got enough songs done. G.NA and Roh Jihoon have talked about being in studio too so there's them as well. I wouldn't be surprised with a BTOB comeback to capitalize on their trending popularity plus they might be able to get their first win since senior artists tend to not promote towards the end of year.

One of the reasons why, as a 4nia, I don't necessarily keep myself in the main fandom....

I'd normally agree (and I'm sure G.NA/Rain will be back before year end) but this is a special scenario. You have to strike when the iron is hot and there is no chance that CLC will get more attention as a group and on a member than right now with Yoojin. Yoojin just spent 20 hours trending on Naver with a solid share of real time traffic. She's on a show that gets 13% ratings (dethroning the current king of Sunday variety, 1N2D, for the time being) and has been, along with Jessi, the most talked about member of the cast. You have to take advantage of that. It'd actually look worse to your shareholders if you don't.

I'm not opposed to double promotions (CLC with G.NA would work perfectly).

I see your point. I definitely agree that striking while the iron is hot is smart. Even their "those guys" controversy might be a good thing if Yoojin changes netizens' perspective of her plus some companies (FNC/Starship) adhere by the theory that any publicity is good publicity. That being said, I think Cube won't be able to resist the chance to push BTOB since they can bring in a lot more revenue. Their CEO has said as much in interviews, that BTOB is the priority this year. Their Japanese promos just wrapped up. Cube has shown that they don't mind debuting rookies when a senior is promoting but I'm not sure about followup promotions afterwards. I wouldn't mind CLC doing some activities abroad in say China/Thailand to be honest.

Not gonna lie it makes me sad seeing CLC peers doing better than them RV, GFriend, April, OMG, Lovelyz have all done better than CLC one way or another  :._.:

Why can't we have good things too  :rlytearpls:

Everyone loves an underdog. I'll use BTOB as an example because I've been following since before their debut and it was frustrating seeing so many 2012 groups do so well when BTOB's talents didn't translate to popularity. NU'EST debuted a week before BTOB and were huge at first. Obviously B.A.P. and EXO. Then VIXX became the small company group that had an exponential rise in popularity. GOT7 and BTS immediately had more fans upon debut. I think both fans and the idols themselves will appreciate it more when they finally make it big.
