Honestly from the recent interview, its looking like the debut is getting pushed back until early next year. Cube does seem to have a lot on their plate this year. I think they actually are more interested in pushing their current artists only to help their stock now that they've gone public. A lot easier to promote established artists than debut a new one in this market.

Well Jang Hayoung was in Beast's 'Shock' MV from July 2010 but never made the lineup for A Pink. Soae was the one in 'Beautiful' and not Eunji but got cut last minute. Literally every idol group Cube has ever debuted has had last minute changes so I never want to rule out the possibility. This close to debut, I doubt any of the trainees willingly leave like in the past but if Cube feels a girl doesn't fit a concept they're going for E.G Soae with A Pink, they could be cut for someone that wasn't in G.NA's MV. A little curious as to why there were only 5 girls with G.NA during performances versus the 6 in the MV for example. Personally I feel like Cube's going to go with 7 members because that's the standard number these days and with Yookyung leaving puts 4Minute at 5 and A Pink at 6. Got to remember that Cube's invested lots of money into their trainees over the year so given the choice, I'm sure they'd rather have more members than less.

 

Sorn - I would say is the closest thing to a lock because she actually had a contract in place. Not that K-Pop Star Hunt was a popular TV show but she's the most well known trainee they have too.

Yoojin and Hyerin - I could see one of these two being the leaders since they've been the longest trainees.

Seohyun - She has personal Facebook and Instagram accounts now which has me a little worried. Sure Sorn has one but that's her fan page and made her IG private since training. She also was the one that wasn't on stage with G.NA.

Seunghee - Seems to be the new Naeun as in Cube is trying to push her as the visual.

I was hoping Cube would debut the girls sooner too... There's only 5 months left and I'd imagine one of the bigger companies is going to drop their girl group soon. I wouldn't read into lots of comebacks as the reason though. Cube always debuts rookies while a senior is promoting. I think they're having trouble finalizing concept and lineup. Going to be hard to make them stand out.

That was so much more in depth and longer than I expected. When videos of Cube's trainees come out they're usually so short and voiced over from a distance granted everyone already knew about Sorn. She's definitely gotten a lot better in two years. This is the kind of footage I wanted from United Cube TV. Documentary style and highlighting some of the staff as well. Sorn's honestly a lock to make the group. Good vocals, speaks English, is Thai, young, and I can't imagine them cutting someone that actually has a contract already too.

does anyone know when the cube girls are rumored to debut? and also, I heard a rumor that Cecilia, a (former) JYP trainee and potential member of their girl group 6MIX has moved to Cube.

The article says they're in final prepping phase and are just deciding on a debut date. Honestly its all speculation and guessing although Cube will debut them soon after a teaser. Its not their style to drag it out unless they have a last minute member change again. With them trying to get listed publicly I could see it going two ways. 

 

One they might delay the girls' debut until after a few more artists comeback to generate highest revenue before they're listed. BTOB, 4Minute, Beast, G.NA, A Pink, and Roh Jihoon have all hinted at comebacks. If that's the case I could see a 2015 debut. In that video about Sorn it mentioned how Cube likes a group to practice together for months after the lineup has been finalized. 

 

Two Cube might follow their tradition of debuting a group while a senior is promoting to help generate buzz and interest. I could see them debuting a group before October to show investors their plans for the future.

We'll have to wait and see if this source of yours is right. i honestly hope so. Cube does seem to have a tendency to add trainees last minute to a group and especially if they're from JYP originally. I can understand adding someone like Cecilia since she's a known name and having more international members is always good. I think Hyerin would be one of the locks. She's one of the older Cube trainees going off the Cube trainees mentioned by A Pink, BTOB, and M4M in their album thanks to. I think it would between her and Yoojin for leader. I follow Soae, Sojin, Haeri on Facebook and Instagram and just by them having active accounts is a tell tale sign to me that they're no longer trainees at Cube along with Jang Hayoung. Haeri is apparently with LOEN now and I think the other three are done with the entertainment industry for the time being. My guess would be 7 members since A Pink is now 6 members and 7 just seems to be the go to number a lot nowadays. I'm sure Cube wants to a avoid the inevitable comparisons to 6Mix as well.

I can't tell who was on the left (Cecilia?) but after that Sorn, Seunghee, Hyerin, and Yoojin. Only five though... I updated the OP with the girls that seem most likely to be in the group currently though and took out all the ones that left

What liners are all the girls?

Yoojin I'm not sure of her exact age. She should be at least early 95 though because Namjoo refers to her as unnie and she's 95. Eunji and Bomi are 93 and don't talk about her in any kind of formal manner.

If I had to guess Yoojin or Hyerin would most likely be the leader. They've been trainees from at least before A Pink debuted because they were mentioned in their debut album thanks to so that's 4-5 years.

So is Cecilia semi-confirmed or are people just guessing? I'll check this group out only if she's in it. I'm disappointed that she's not debuting with 6Mix so I hope she's in Cube at least.

I haven't seen anything definite to say so. Multiple people on the 6Mix thread claim to be in contact with a friend of Cecilia who says she left JYP at least. I think Cube's name comes up because of their past habit of taking former JYP trainees + we know they have plans to debut a girl group.

There's been articles written in the past about all the volunteer work that Cube has their artists and trainees do but honestly media playing that kind of stuff can backfire as well. As long as they remain humble from having these experiences that's fine.

 

I have no clue who that fifth girl might be, I can ask someone that might know though. That's probably who we all thought was Cecilia in the video with A Pink at Beast's concert because she's kind of pale.

 

A band concept would be a great idea if Cube can execute it properly. I just hope they stick with it unlike FNC with AOA.

Hm band concept, it would be worth a shot but Cube already failed once with Changsub..

 

Anyway weren't the amount of members supposed to be 6 to 8 for Cube Girls, Cube Boys 4 to 5 and A Cube boys 4 to 7?

Yeah the fact that they scrapped Eunkwang, Changsub, and Hyunsik's band unit from the get go makes me think Cube would rather follow the current trend of dance groups but maybe this will be one of those times they think outside the box a bit.

 

I'm sure numbers change. There really isn't one definitive source that says only x number of people will be in Cube's groups.

they said it was due to CNBLUE's debut how much that stands... No one actually knows.

 

Hm yeah but I thought they would have a definite debut line-up by now oh well, we will see... But I do hope they aren't a 5 member group, the amount of comparisons won't be funny at all

7 would be a good number since A Pink is 6 now plus I always want as many of the trainees to debut as possible if they're ready because many will end up leaving like Soae.

I honestly think those five girls are the final lineup. Seohyun was the sixth girl that was in G.NA's MV but not on stage during her live performances. I rewatched those and the trainee that I thought could be Cecilia was the fifth girl performing with G.NA. Seohyun's personal Facebook popped up around the time after G.NA's MV was released so sad to say but perhaps she left Cube around then.

You never know for sure with Cube. Could be some hidden members. They might decide last minute to add someone. I think its safe to assume the five we've seen lately are confirmed though. I'm sad about Soae, Yeji, and Hayoung :(

Dang this thread got a lot of followers not. I'll see what I can dig up on Facebook from Cube staff. I do hope Cube sticks with the band concept somewhat even if its not successful at first. Obviously all their trainees are versed and dance too.
