With A Pink heading over to promote in Japan soon, do you think that cube it's raining this group to kind of hold their space?

I think it would be smart to debut a group that is a similar concert but not the exact same. Also good if the competition came from inside the same company.

O – What is the most important project this year?

N – There is no one person that is not important. But if I have to choose, it would be BTOB. (laughs) BTOB needs much growth. BEAST and 4minute needs to maintain their top position. We are also in midst of preparations to launch a new rookie girl group soon.

The project started a year ago with 8 girls but i think Cube changed the original line up and put some new girls.

 

I don't know what's going on now because the girls are not that active in SNS anymore so its hard to tell who is in the group.

 

Maybe Cube is putting them on lock down because they're going to debut soon.

Didn't see this mentioned here but I find that it is important to note that 4minute will have another comeback the 2nd half of the year

So right now Hyuna and then 4minute as a whole will be having a comeback.

I don't know, but I still think it's possible for them to debut the girls sometime in between that. Would they put Hyuna back to work so quickly after a comeback?

 

Also, this isn't very important but ever since the girls were dancers in G.Na's video it reminded me of when APink was in Beast video for Beautiful. I wanted to see how long in between it took between that time and debut. Beast MV was released in Nov. 2010 and the girls ended up debuting in April 2011, so there was less than half a year in between.

Well Jang Hayoung was in Beast's 'Shock' MV from July 2010 but never made the lineup for A Pink. Soae was the one in 'Beautiful' and not Eunji but got cut last minute. Literally every idol group Cube has ever debuted has had last minute changes so I never want to rule out the possibility. This close to debut, I doubt any of the trainees willingly leave like in the past but if Cube feels a girl doesn't fit a concept they're going for E.G Soae with A Pink, they could be cut for someone that wasn't in G.NA's MV. A little curious as to why there were only 5 girls with G.NA during performances versus the 6 in the MV for example. Personally I feel like Cube's going to go with 7 members because that's the standard number these days and with Yookyung leaving puts 4Minute at 5 and A Pink at 6. Got to remember that Cube's invested lots of money into their trainees over the year so given the choice, I'm sure they'd rather have more members than less.

 

Sorn - I would say is the closest thing to a lock because she actually had a contract in place. Not that K-Pop Star Hunt was a popular TV show but she's the most well known trainee they have too.

Yoojin and Hyerin - I could see one of these two being the leaders since they've been the longest trainees.

Seohyun - She has personal Facebook and Instagram accounts now which has me a little worried. Sure Sorn has one but that's her fan page and made her IG private since training. She also was the one that wasn't on stage with G.NA.

Seunghee - Seems to be the new Naeun as in Cube is trying to push her as the visual. 

 

I have to agree with not worrying about Sorn being in the group. She's basically a shoe-in.

I really hope they don't postpone them to next year. With so many girl groups debuting from well known companies soon it would be wise if they get theirs out there first. Cube was fortunate enough that they released 4Minute and APink at a good time. Hopefully they'll do the same with this group.

 

But I guess they will postpone the group because not only are Hyuna, 4Minute, and APink coming back later this year, Eunji is get a solo debut as well.

I feel like Cube is going to release info about them soon... just a feeling... but with all that's going on with other debuts, they're probably gonna try to hype up the girls as well

 

More than likely this is what's going to happen with all the companies.

 

I think all of them were just waiting for one to debut first.

does anyone know when the cube girls are rumored to debut? and also, I heard a rumor that Cecilia, a (former) JYP trainee and potential member of their girl group 6MIX has moved to Cube.

 

Don't know yet. I wish we did.

 

NGL, I think it'll be soon since one of the big 3 finally debuted a girl group.

I think that's what everybody was waiting for.

just wanted to let you guys know Cube girls will be debuting soon. according to my source, the girls have already filmed their music video and are just waiting for the big 3 rookie groups (Red Velvet, WINNER) to end promotions (which will be in like 2-3 weeks). we should be expecting them sometime in September. their concept will be along the lines of a spy concept, kinda like 4Minute's Volume Up and BEAST's Shadow. and if Cecilia (the former 6Mix girl) is not in JYP, she may be in Cube debuting in this group. the group will have around 7-8 members, some we know as the general public and others we don't. thats all I got.

 

 

Do you know what their debut might sound like? Do they sound like APink or 4minute, etc.?

Also is it a cute spy concept like Hoot or is it more like Lupin/sexy?

hey guys, so Cube girls seem likely to have a September debut. if Cube really wants to play it super safe, the girls will come in November. they seem to definetly be debuting this year, though.

 

I think they should debut right after Chuseok.

Cube has been promoting Sorn, Seunghee, Hyerin, Yoojin and another trainee a lot lately. I believe those five girls are going to be in the new gg

 

I just wish they'd debut them already. BTOB has had their come back, is there anyone else in the pipeline or or they girls next?

After seeing those videos, I really want to know what their sound/concept is going to be.

Also, these videos prove that they can all sing and harmonize well.

There's been articles written in the past about all the volunteer work that Cube has their artists and trainees do but honestly media playing that kind of stuff can backfire as well. As long as they remain humble from having these experiences that's fine.

 

I have no clue who that fifth girl might be, I can ask someone that might know though. That's probably who we all thought was Cecilia in the video with A Pink at Beast's concert because she's kind of pale.

 

A band concept would be a great idea if Cube can execute it properly. I just hope they stick with it unlike FNC with AOA.

No offence to G.NA, but she really doesn't bring in the crowds like she use to. I don't think the girls will get much exposure by being paired with her.

Every girl group will come out before YG's lol. But I'm excited, I think it's cool they're a girl band.

 

Will they actually be a band that plays instruments?

It appears that way for now. Unless they pull an AOA and are also a dance group.

 

I really hope that they are. It will make them stand out.
