They're not going to stop being saying rude shit because it's hurtful. If they gave a shit about the other person's feelings they wouldn't have said it in the first place. People are going to say whatever they want and you can either respond to it or ignore it, trying to reason with someone over the internet is mostly pointless and rarely works.
