Why do you think Korean and Japanese netizens hate idols?

Because they are industry plants. They are at the bottom of the ladder when it comes to entertainers and they have little to no say in anything.

Their schedules are filled up for them, they are overworked 24/7 for little pay... etc. They are doing just about everything for popularity and in some cases everything.

Well, this is what the NetizenBuzz FAQ says:

- Why are netizens so negative?

Please keep in mind that this blog only focuses on negative content as that is what usually impacts the industry. There are just as much, if not more, articles that receive a positive response on any given day.

Maybe it's similar to the way we feel about Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus etc... The fans will love them but outsiders will view them with disdain?

I don't think it's just a Japanese/Korean thing though, it applies to all countries which have boy/girl groups. It could be down to the artist vs idol mis-perception that people have.

They don't like the privileges the idols have?

I mean K-Idols can easily enter a university but never attend the classes and gets graduated  (it's still a mandatory to graduates High School properly tho)

P.S SK students spent their ass studying for like 70% of each day

The fact that idols who enters the university had not been tested whatsoever maybe stirred the jealousy inside them and cause them to resent idols

and let's not forget the acting idol as well

netizens deducted that idols are there to steal the role from rookie actors/actress who's been auditioning while idols that got casted mostly went in with just some discussions of schedules

and let's not forget the sasaengs and crazy fans that disturbs any peaceful communities and behaves like dummies where the idols live whether in Apartments or ordinary roads

For J-Idols i think they hate that J-Idols uses gimmicks on their singles or album sales and some of them sounds extremely bad live and the otaku fans that is creepy as f

It's not like Korean actors and comedians are any better, yet netizens put them on a pedestal. There are idols who act better than some actors and there are people on this site that are funnier than Korean comedians (the ones on tv at least).

I know that on MajiDe that there is a lot of praise for artists. I don't look at NetizenBuzz outside of the threads here and they're pretty much all about idols.

Most idols got in because of their looks not so much talent. What they acquire like skills are because they are trained by their companies. In other words they are manufactured pop singers -singing a song produce by other ppl . Most non-idols sing their own songs and write and produce their own songs.

also they have special priviledges like they can easily enter University through conncections, etc.

^ Mostly what's mentioned above

+ Random nugu groups producing quite undesirable music etc

+ Camping for upvotes... Thinking that a hate comment/ shade might give them more +1

+ Jealous Maybe~Especially the uni part mentioned by Trent (tbh it's really unfair)

+Maybe praising Idols is just to mainstream for them maybe~ Break the combo of praises with a negative one
