She's incapable of separating herself from any of her various influences, which makes her come across incredibly disingenuous and pompous because she has a tendency to market and deliver concepts and imagery as her own but they aren't. Applause is much too reminiscent of the imagery that Chara used during Dark Candy. She's also been emulating Ayumi Hamasaki as of late especially during Loveppears. It isn't difficult to pinpoint all of her imagery and sound to various artist that have done it before her. Nicki Minaj isn't any better but it's a bit harder to pinpoint the specific artist even though a decent amount of her images have been done by Koda Kumi in the past. People have to learn how to fucking appreciate every artist for what they are. References are everywhere, all the time since the beginning of pop. btw, quit with the CHARA thing, the clown make-up is much more reminiscent of Marilyn Manson if anything... I feel like you guys are trying to squeeze blood from a stone just for the sake of bashing lady gaga continuously. I thought Gaga has been pretty open about being heavily influenced by Japan. She is.
