WIth the recent cases of SM putting their own groups up against each other on charts and music shows, it's pretty obvious there is coming another "EXO vs other SM group" situation in six months. Clearly SM is aiming to make EXO the next big thing. They started it from making their least favorite group f(x) go head to head with EXO, the future of SM. SM could have waited for at least 2 weeks after f(x)'s long awaited comeback began but hell no SM didn't want to wait.

 

Who will SM put EXO up against next time?

 

  • f(x)? /It's kind of sad to see f(x) had to compete against Super Junior in 2010 and now it's EXO. On the other hand, good to see f(x) living up to their "experimental group" label - from music to management./
  • Shinee?
  • SNSD?
  • Super Junior?
  • TVXQ?

 

 

P.S. Nothing against EXO tho. Everyone should realize that it's not EXO's fault.

Simultaneous promotions is a good way to gauge star power of your different groups.

 

Also, it got fans into a tizzy with their whining, which is always good.  Give fans something to make a fuss about, and they will, thus boosting the profile of your artists.

i reckon they should put 'em against bap. 2 strongest rookie boy groups by a mile

Anyway since debut EXO-TTS , Wolf cb EXO-Henry , follow up EXO-f(x) , next EXO-SHINee please ohmygod they both are doing good on physical and digital :) and their fans is no joke too :) soo EXO-SHINee...

imo, beside SNSD,fx , EXO can win against any of their labelmates since music show's awards depend heavily on digital sales

just because of one good song they promoted got no.1 for only less than a week (no longevity), they're automatically digital monsters and the biggest thing since slice bread now?

 

Look at what happened to B2ST, 2PM. at one point they were doing amazingly on digitals charts and people bragged abt how they'll always be dgimons or even bigger than BB but where are they now on digital charts? not as good as they used to be.

 

You also forget broadcast points, etc among others.

If awards are going to count both K and M versions as one, EXO's physical sale is going to be higher than Shinee and TVXQ

SJ's physical sales maybe slightly higher but EXO do far more better with digital sales if SM gives EXO public'friendly songs like Growl for EXO from now on

Shinee has a better digital sales but when count both physical and digital albums, I think EXO will win

 

With fan votes and SNS points, EXO fandom is huge. They have a high chance to put up a good fight against ELFs and Cassies

 

With broadcast points, dont you know EXO has become SM's top priority now? They, SM, will make sure EXO will get the most of TV shows and radios' appearances which means their broadcast points will be very high

 

and stop, I didnt even say EXO is a digital digimon monster.

I think its still early to assume.

but everybody is already putting exo on a high pedestal lol.

 

You don't understand what I'm trying to say.

its not abt against labelmate or not.

But the way fans assume how they sell now as if its going to determine how they sell in the future. Chances are they might not sell well in the future like what happened to B2st and 2pm. Well, considering their amount of fans, bulk-buying and all, its expected but to me not really impressive and loses credibility seeing as they have many crazy fangirls. Exo is like the next Suju and their fandom is like the next elf tbh. " crazy oppars fangirls". that much is true
