This actually took me a while. I think it makes a little more sense this way, but if you guys want to change things I won't bite...and, because 29 was such an odd number I decided to slip in another question.

Ok... Since everyone's just talking about starting and not actually starting, how about I start so I can get the ball rolling?

 

1. Amber or Krystal, who's your most favorite?

 

Well, in terms of..

 

It's so hard to pick between them. Even if I force myself to, I can't. They're both so unique in their own ways and I would feel so bad if I favored one over the other. It's kinda like asking if you like your mom more or you dad more. I feel stupid now, I'm gonna go in a corner and slap myself.

We can't just randomly start, there need to be someone who will decide the start and the end of each day of the game (since we don't all have the same timezone, so someone need to count exactly 24 hours), just like Jon did for the f(x) 30 days challenge on f(x) thread. 2. What was your first impression of them?

 

Krystal is gorgeous. She never appeared aloof or "bitchy" in my eyes. Even though she tends to shy away from conversations during variety shows, she is hilarious and adorable when she talks to people she's close with, cuz don't we all? It's hard to plaster a smile on your face if nothing interesting is happening.

 

Oh, Amber. I actually got to know her through her Instagram account. She is the epitome of a great friend. Fans usually say they want to date their idol (I'm not saying Amber isn't dateable), but for me, I would love to be her friend or sister. She just comes off as a really fun, carefree person.

 

 

3. What's the moment that made you ship Kryber?

 

This question made me rewatch almost every Kryber FMV ever made. 

 

 

It was 1:54-Krys puts on the jacket. You guys know this moment.   I'm sure not everyone's the same, but if one of my friends were cold, I would ask them if they wanted my jacket(if I was wearing one). If they say no, I let it go. If they say yes, I give it to them. But I wouldn't hug them in such a I-have-a-huge-crush-on-you way. This moment had me like halfway through the Kryber door. 

 

This moment literally punted me through the Kryber door. I mean just look at them. Just. I. Just. Them. Feels.

Yeah but then people went saying that "she just sunk all her couples with girls", or that "she just sunk kryber", or that "she said she doesn't like being shipped with girls" and the most stupid one: she was homophobic. 

I was wondering why people were saying that. I'm super glad that Amber's being careful and that she's wording her answers appropriately, cuz you can never be too careful when it comes to that in Korea. I was actually really happy that she used Krystal as an example. I just didn't understand what the big deal was when fans on her Facebook fanpage were like crying about the Kryber ship being sunk and other people (specifically people who don't like Kryber or their shippers) were laughing at our ship being "dead."

Why didn't I follow their debut days? I missed out... I got into KryBer during their RL era LOL...

I didn't get into f(x) until last year, but I've gone through the entire KryberPalace blog at least five times, please don't judge me lol

Pink Tape era had some really good moments, I miss it. Red Light era ended before something could actually happen...

The RL era was weird. They looked like they were basically ignoring each other. Call me delusional, but this video made me burst into tears.

I'm gonna believe they're "real" until one of them is officially confirmed to be in a relationship with someone else, but even then, I'll ship their friendship

 

They are. These two used to be pretty gay on UFO. There is a lot of JungLi too, and some JungLiBer as well  Like Soojung saying that Amber is her husband and Sulli her boyfriend 

I wish we would still get small doses of Kryber like that. They were so touchy-feely during the ES era and there were so many weird, unexplained moments like the famous

I know the whole "It's funny how I get shipped with more girls than guys" "It makes it awkward for my friends.... like KRYSTAL and Minah etc" that Amber said on that radio thing may have deterred some Kryber shippers out there. For the specific time she says it on the radio, click 

 

But she has since then talked about Krystal (or as Amber calls her, Soojung) more openly in fan meetings. Which seems pretty planned to me (in my delulu mind), it gives her a chance to talk about dear Soojung with less people thinking about them being involved romantically.

 

I know that some people may think that what she said on the radio, is homophobic, but I assure you Amber is quite the opposite, in fact, I think her even talking about it openly is quite brave of her. On After School Club (ASC), she talked about how one of her good friends wanted to break up with her boyfriend and date Amber instead, she didn't express any disgust nor excitement, but welcomes that idea that some ladies may have the hots for her. Let's keep in mind that even though ASC is a show that's normally an English speaking TV show, It is still Korean. For the specific time she talks about it on ASC, click here

 

 

 

Let's face it, Amber has and is breaking gender stereotypes in Korea, and has not explicitly spoken out about her sexual preference, this is the best thing we are getting right now. Korea is still a conservative nation no matter how it has become more accepting, and I think they can only take small steps towards more acceptance, we probably won't be seeing any queer or any public figures coming out for at least another 5 years.

OMG. I didn't understand why you posted two photos that looked pretty separate, and not even from the same timeline. And then I noticed the blanket. The fact that this isn't even from the same timeline makes it even better,

 

Anyway, I think it's good that Amber is comfortable enough to speak about Krystal....or maybe SM isn't holding off anymore Kryber stuff 

 

I'm just really happy that whatever relationship they have, that they're both on okay terms. Because after quite the seemingly "cold war" between the two during the red light era, I was scared for their friendship.

During the RL era, they looked so tense and awkward around each other. Really makes me wonder what happened, because during BOB in Guangzhou they were fine. Maybe it was because they both seemed to be exhausted and was probably surviving on 4 hours of a sleep a day, who knows. I'm just glad they seem to be ok now.

Amber has spoken a lot about her sexual orientation recently. People seem to be reacting to that in three ways. One, the "of course she's straight." Two, the "she lives in Korea, of course she's not gonna say she likes pussy." Three, the "she knows herself better than we do, let's all just stop speculating." 

 

I'm a mix between all three. I seriously don't know what to say about Amber's sexuality. I, and any fan for that matter, have no right to pinpoint her or Krystal's sexual preference based on what we see and hear from broadcasts, fancams, fan accounts, etc. I'm just so confused because she usually never talks about these things and when she does it's really vague. But, in my delulu mind, she and Krystal will always be an old married couple

Just after the buzz of ASC and Music Access she started talking non-stop about guys even though she never did that. Weird.

I do find that odd, this is also the third time she has addressed girls liking her or rumors about her and girls

The MC asked if Amber liked guys, and she said she liked guys. If there were some stuttering, twitching, scratching, or avoiding eye contact going on, I would question the validity of her answer, but she answered it really smoothly. I don't know if it was scripted or maybe she was given a heads-up about the question (this sounds highly unlikely), but as a Kryber shipper, I'm just gonna sit here, watch some FMVs, read some fanfics, and cry into my pillow.

Any idol couldn't have answered differently. They are "straight". They have to know how to deal with it otherwise they are ruined. Yuri is gay af but she still managed many times to pretend liking boys and having ideal types.

 

Radio Star is a formal show, so Ber can't risk anything. But look at the way she talked about the rumors of dating girls on Music Access. It was informal and she was the one who brought the topic, but she was so careful with her words trying to not say the wrong thing and I wonder why? Couldn't she have talked about it straight away like she did on Radio Star?

 

 

Talking more about her sexuality made it obvious that she's really not straight. Plus that ideal type.

During the Music Access thing, she never said she didn't like girls, she also didn't deny it during the other two instances, and I think that says something. No matter how straight either Krystal or Amber insist they are, I'll always feel like there was a spark between the two. Just weird skinship... Like in episode 8 on Amazing f(x), when they were in the RV, Amber's knee was literally in between Krystal's leg, and Amber looked super tense and awkward. You can also see how Amber has her hand on Krystal's thigh at some point.

If that may be the case or not. I had this theory in my mind where Krystal broke Amber's heart, and now Amber's totally off girls because of Krystal breaking her heart (even though they're quite good friends right now lol) and this is just Amber's passive aggressive way of revenge/make Krystal jealous, because she doesn't a fight with Krystal since she's also a member, but still want to hurt Krystal as much as she has hurt amber.

 

Lol I don't know. It sounds more like a fanfic. I've just been grasping at straws because of them talking about liking guys so much. sigh....

 

 

 

It sounds like a fanfic indeed lol, if someone broke the other's heart, it would be Amber in my opinion since she's too close to other girls and honestly if I was her girlfriend it would piss me off. But I don't think they broke up after a fight, I think they just realized that what they have was more of a crush than a real love, so they're taking a break to figure out what they really feel and what they really want. 

My theory is super fanfic-y too. I think that during the ES era, they realized they had a mutual attraction or maybe were already together, hence all the touching and weird skinship. Then, during PT, they were a little more careful and low key. Now the RL era was just all over the place. They seemed just fine in the beginning of promotions, but towards the end, it got a little awkward. Like I said before, it could also be due to fatigue or whatnot. At the f(4) performances following Sulli's hiatus, there weren't a lot of touching or eye contact going on either. Then, during BOB in Guangzhou, they seemed to be fine again. But is it just me or does the skinship seem less couple-ly and more friend-ly?
