The best anime this season. It's a must watch.

So, I was sort of disinterested in most of the stuff this season. But I started to see a lot of gifs and stuff from this one particular anime on tumblr and I started reblogging it a lot because it fits my blogs aesthetic and then I decided to watch it and i'm freaking in love. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ore Monogatari!! (My love story)

 

 

​an anime in which the big guy gets the pretty girl and they have the happiest loveliest time of their lives being grossly in love. Yes, it's a RomCom.

 

 

 

It has this lovable, oblivious, super sweet, borderline idiot, Gouda Takeo

 

 

This sweetheart, anime waifu material, Yamato Rinko

 

 

 

 

And this guy, Gouda's best friend that everyone loves who cheers Gouda on from the sidelines and always looks after him and low key has a thing for Gouda and always makes sure Yamato doesn't misunderstand anything and keeps loving Gouda, Makoto Sunakawa

 

 

 

lovely characters, awesome animation, comedy. It's really an all around great show. It's kind of like Toradora to an extent except without all the drama and build up. It''s just a light-hearted feel good show, so far at least.

Ore Monogatari is great. The manga follows the anime precisely and is also very well done. I highly suggest you guys checking it out.

I like it too, but mostly for the trio.

 

(in spoiler 'cause it is truly spoiler, so don't click if you ain't watch it yet)

 

 

I saw some comments that got me thinking about it. Like how they seem to always use almost tragic events to paint Takeo in a good light to other people, when you can just see he is a good person regardless. And also how those people only ever thank Suna - mostly females who can't seem to appreciate where the help truly came from. And also how almost every other girl in the show besides Yamato and Suna's sister are straight up bitches and need to have their eyes opened. Like Yamato is an angel and I really like her cute self, but they don't need to go to those extremes to show that the trio are great characters. And especially don't really need to paint almost every female character as a bitch from the start (besides those in love with Takeo).

 

Of course, don't really have to read that much into it and I really do like the main characters, but some food for thought.

 

I haven't read the manga yet to know if anything changes though.

Yas a rom com anime finally. I'll keep it on my list of to-watch animes that have not been touched since the beginning of this year due to upcoming National Exams ugh.
