Random but related: I remember a few years back when the first teaser pics of the 1st Japanese Album Repackage were released, everyone - myself included - freaked out because it looked like Hyoyeon cut her hair super short. 

 

Thankfully it was just a ponytail and we continued to enjoy her glorious golden hair for a bit longer... before she went on a dyeing spree of nasty artificial colors.

 

I wouldn't mind if her hair is shorter but I don't want a bob.

 

Julie, I agree about red but I want Genie-like red, not Krystal from f(x) during Rum Pum Pum red.

Since we're on the subject of teasers and hair changes, what is everyone's favorite Hyoyeon teaser pic?

 

I'm expecting a lot of people to say IGAB but I never liked that one. Too plastic-y and reminded me of Nicki Minaj circa Pink Friday Roman Reloaded.

 

Mine is the Hoot teaser pic because it's what initially made me a fan in the first place in 2010. Too bad her hair didn't look this good during the actual Hoot era.

I remember everyone waiting for the Korean Mr. Taxi MV to drop - especially because Garlictaker told everyone we were getting one - and then all we got was a dumb live performance. Hyoyeon would have looked perfect in a MV with the styling from that teaser pic.

Yes, most Koreans know Hyoyeon but not positively. Non-fans think "the ugly dancer" or the "plastic orc." Instead of helping to change that, "SONES" made mean memes and SM intentionally made her look worse with hideous styling that even Hyoyeon has complained about. By the time she was finally styled right (2011), popular attitudes about SNSD had already been well established so they couldn't really change that. Although now some people think "was once ugly, now slightly better because of eyebrows." no1kara about talent in k-pop unless you're a singer.

we came to a point where Hyo doesnt have an actual fansite (at least in korea, bless HITO and LHY) Hyo's fansites in korea: QoS and DoubleYou are probably handling the struggles of being a grown up and dont have time to follow her around anymore. oHYeah only goes to airports.... After the YourSide thing idk we are ever getting one. Unless Hyo gets a new fansite TaeNy level of psycho (for her to get new fansite she has to actually be promoted so lets wait for what 2015 still has to offer)

Fml. Even the most irrelevant idols from lower tier groups get multiple photobooks. The situation reminds me of what happened with DWTS when QoS invited fans to come and no one showed up. If we were all in Korea, we could help but we're stranded international cockroaches :(

No surprise there. She's always had more support from general kpop fans than SNSD fans. Sad but true.

 

Thanks. I recently re-watched the Show! Show! Show! performance it's from a couple days ago and can't get over how alive & energetic they all were. I forget they were like that. lmao it's been so long. Even Taeyeon was all smiles and enjoying herself. I really wish the group could be full of life and happiness again but I don't see it happening.

I wish SM had actually promoted them :/ my dream unit :( From what I read the album was like a gift on the PYL event and that was it? Like why wasting so much money on album and MV production if you wont even let them perform the song freaking once???

Yes, it was only given to the guests in attendance at SM and Hyundai's PYL concert event. Hyundai must have funded the project because lbr SM is cheap. What a waste of time, effort, and money.
