Love how Hyoyeon talks a lot more now compared to before. I credit her experience on IY2 for making her less camera shy and giving her a confidence boost. Someone mentioned this year on the SNSD thread. BTW thanks for the info~ Well on Strong Heart in late 2009 she talked about how she felt her role as leader was unnecessary as the other members didn't feel the need for one (since they're around the same age, independent, and capable of thinking for themselves) so she told the girls she didn't want to be leader anymore. And the girls didn't object to her suggestion which made Taeyeon feel sad. I don't think she ever said for certain if she's stopped being SNSD's leader but I don't think it really matters. The Second Japanese Album era has been a mess. Why would they include Time Machine, AMLIFY, and Japanese Oh! when TOP, Reflection, and Animal would have made much better singles? I'm just done with them being "cute" in general. And if any of the Japan tour outfits make a cameo I quit. They make too much money for SM to be looking that cheap. Anyway... No one gives an awkward interview quite like our Hyoyeon. I'm ok with cutesy in small doses like the occasional Snowy Wish performance but I'm dreading that we'll be stuck with Love&Gorillas as a setlist fixture for the long-term. ugh if Flower Power didn't flop I doubt SM would be pushing them in the generic kawaii j-pop girl group direction but they need a guarantee for sales so they'll resort to that bullshit. It sucks especially because they went through a lot of work pushing the girls' image in Japan as mature and classy artists - only to have that shattered. It was mainly HITO (her Taiwan fanclub) that got us pics last tour - and the recent Japan tour too.
