Who loves this movie? Who has seen or is waiting to watch Pitch Perfect 2?

 

I've already seen Pitch Perfect 2 and I thought it was so much funnier than the first one! The jokes are more outrageous and there's maybe a tad missing from the "feel good" vibe about it, but I think it was better, overall, than the first one.

 

There's already  Pitch Perfect 3 movie confirmed so there's that to look forward to after you watch PP2!

I watched the second one this afternoon and honestly I thought it was a huge downgrade from the first one.

 

The performances/songs were okay, but it was like the script was written by 13 year old girls for 13 year old girls. The humour was really lame imo.

I think the only thing you're missing is the cute romance between kendrick and astin's character. it was made up with steinfeld and platt's characters having an awkward but cute relactionship. 

 

i don't think you can expect the same story between kendrick and astin because it's already been done and they're past that part in their relationship.

 

the jokes were Laugh Out Loud....

 

I've seen this movie 3 times... each time the audience laughed very hard and often....

I've only watched the firt one, which is a real guilty pleasure of mine. Been waiting to watch the second one, but apparently it's only in cinemas in JULY here >___> *Drops dead* Anyway, it's good to hear it's good and probably worth the wait then :3

I loved the first one!! I only saw it last fall? I think. Then I became a little bit crazy over Anna Kendrick. I even went to see her on the David Letterman show!!! She's become one of my favorite actresses. 

 

If you loved the first, you'll definitely love the 2nd. I think it was better!!! 

 

omg how can they make you wait till july...

Sorry to bring an older topic, but i wanted to say some things about PP... 

 

Love Pitch Perfect, and it's a movie I could watch multiple times. And of course, I ship Bechloe... or as fat amy says 'everyone loves a good blowie'

I agree with the first sentence. It was a bit of a downgrade compared to the first. You knew it'd be hard to topped the first. Sleeper hit gets a sequel and expectations go up! As far as the 13 year old girls thing, iunno what to say about that. I know the target audience was decidedly younger girls in the 'Bring It On' style. I honestly thought it was suited to the 17+ crowd. The line-o-rama uncensored stuff shows the movie could have done well with a R-rating and raunchier jokes, more fitting of college crowd. Diddle jam vs lady jam guys. lol

 

I'm not hating on Pitch Perfect 2, I saw it twice. Laugh out Loud, Had fun, it was enjoyable, was it better than the first? Nope. IMO at least.

 maybe i'll do a rant on things I didn't like of PP2 sometime.

 

Trebles - did you guys think the Treblemakers were better with Bumper in it? Song choices of Bumper vs Jesse did kinda change the feel of the Trebles. A friend of mine was talking about that and felt Bumper made them better and less 'boy band' like.
