Hyunseung is facing the light with his eyes closed until just before the shoot begins. Kikwang, who looked like he was having most difficult time, started to get used to the place as time goes by and he looked relaxed in the last half of the session. Yoseob listened to “How about You?†in the studio and started dancing in front of the window instead of mirror. Doojoon, who saw Yoseob from afar, also started dancing and it became synchro of those two! Q: What was your first thought about 10 consecutive months release? Hyunseung (HS): I thought it was a good plan. Rather than releasing an album all of a sudden, releasing one song at a time felt less pressuring.Junhyung (JH): After 10 months, it would be great if we can release one complete album with the 10 songs that we released. But at first, I thought it would be “impossible†(laughs). I was most worried about the dates and doing the recordings according to the settled schedule sounded very difficult.Kikwang (KK): After doing the 10 months consecutive release, it sounded like we would become “Amazing†BEAST (laughs). It was something we were experiencing first, so it was half-worry & half-anticipation. Anyway, the chance that we can enjoy with our Japanese fans would increase, so I thought it definitely was a good challenge. Q: What is your favorite one out of the 3 songs? JH: When would this article be published? In May? Then, it is “Can’t Wait to Love You†which is going to be released in May (laughs).HS: I also like the song of May.KK: Oh, how coincidental. Me, too (laughs)JH: Then, automatically, it’s “Can’t Wait to Love You†(laughs). It’s a song that expresses the happiness of a university student who is enjoying his/her summer vacation and it contains the feeling of excitement and freedom. “How about You?†is also a song about beginning of love, but that one feels more like a song for high-schoolers. Q: A man that appeared in April’s release “Hands Up†was a man who’s strongly leading the woman he fell at the first sight. In BEAST, who is closest to that type of man? Dongwoon (DW): (Immediately) It’s Junhyung hyung.Doojoon (DJ): That’s right.JH: What…….Yoseob (YS): It means Junhyung has that kind of charms (laughs). Q: Then who is the second one? YS: Dongwoon!KK: Junhyung and Dongwoon are about the same.DW: It’s not like that. It’s the women who act like that towards me, I’m not like that….HS: There’s a time when I’d be like that but there’s also a time when I’m not like that. (When asked if he’s cold on the outside but warm inside?) Maybe.KK: I do say “I like you†and express my feeling straight forwardly, but if the answer is “Noâ€, I’d be like “Okay, I got it†and just give up. So I’m not a leading type of person.DW: What of the answer is “Yesâ€?KK: “Let’s Go~~~~†(laughs).DJ: I’m shy, so I’m different from that.YS: What, shy?DJ: I’m a passive/inactive shy person. Then how about you, Yoseob?YS: I’m a type of person who respects woman.GK: Yoseob, you’re an adult, huh~(laughs). Q: How did you feel when you established a label under your own name? DJ: It felt marvellous. But sense of responsibility also came upwards.YS: There are more things we can do since we have our own label now and on the other hand, it means we must take responsibility as BEAST as much. We want to work more carefully and do our best as mush as we can and deliver good songs. Once you love music, you can naturally stand on a big stage. Q: It’s your 4th anniversary of Japanese activities. Was there anything difficult? HS: There might be something difficult but once we meet our fans through live stages and events, I forget all of them.DJ: That’s because during live stages and events, we can feel that we have these much of fans even in Japan.DW: I should study Japanese language more diligently. Q: How do you study?DW: I watch a lot of dramas. It’s really interesting. Recently I’m watching â€œç´ æ•µãªé¸ã‚¿ã‚¯ã‚·ãƒ¼(SenTAXI)â€, “ã”ã‚ã‚“ãé’春ï¼(I’m sorry, my youth!)â€, “Dear sisterâ€. I also watched both season 1 and 2 of “Legal Highâ€, “Galileoâ€. I want to star in Japanese dramas or movies sometime.All: Oh!!! (roar & clapping)DW: (In panic) I just said “I want toâ€.DJ: Dongwoon-ah, fighting!DW: (In Japanese) I’m already prepared, so please contact to my management. Please look after me nicely (laughs). Q: Yoseob also speaks and tweets in Japanese. YS: I’m using Japanese language application on my smart phone. It still feels a bit awkward since I can’t write well…. I want to do my best and become like Dongwoon. Q: What is BEAST’s upcoming goal as a group? DJ: We want show our fans that we are doing our best for a long time. Oh right, we go to “Ichiran†ramen store frequently, but just few days ago, one of the staff asked for our sign for the first time.KK: They finally noticed us!DJ: We will do our best so that more people get to know about us (laughs). Q: It seems like there are fans who are looking forward to a concert in Tokyo Dome. JH: Tokyo Dome has an symbol of success. But persisting on it doesn’t feel not right. Firstly, after delivering our music to more people and resulting n them liking us, and doing that continually, I think a chance to stand on a big stage will come naturally. Q: Was that the reason why you picked your concept as “From Idol to an Artist†in your last concert? JH: Yes. It’s been some time since we debuted and it’d be great if more people acknowledge our music and each members individually. But we are drawling a clear line like “We are not idols anymoreâ€, it’s just we want them to hear our music just the way they are.DJ: In terms of age, we already passed our youth years (laughs)YS: That’s right (laughs). But we still sing, compose songs and dance… All of us will still do our best and the BEAST that fans come and say they like, won’t change. That’s certain. They said “We are so proud of our son†to me after seeing a lot of people were cheering for us. Expense for traveling? Of course, I paid for it all! Q: When did you first thought that you’re a celebrity?I think it was about 3 months since our debut. The stewardess came to ask for a signature when I was on a plane for a variety show shoot. It seemed like she didn’t know who I was though (laughs). I signed in one second feeling so shy and gave it to her without looking at her. Q: When you do something for the first time, are you a careful type? Or a daring-type?I’m more like careful-type. If it feels risky, I save it at first and discuss about it with my members. They know about myself more than me. The ones who give me advices are Yoseob & Dongwoon! I depend on them. I wanted to rest on Sundays, but we were told that we had to do our practice, so I hesitated if I should go or not. Doojoon was the only one saying “Great! It sounds fun†filled with excitement, I was shocked (laughs). Q: Do you order something new for the first time when you go to restaurants?I order the same meal in a restaurant I go often. But when I want to go to a new restaurant, I try not to go to the same restaurant as much as possible. Q: On your first date, what kind of outfit do you want your date to wear?Loose/long T-shirt & short pants. It looks cute when girls wear big clothes. But when I choose clothes for myself, my standard would be if it is comfortable or not. It’d be OK if the girl also does that! Junhyung “On the first day of training, Kikwang that I saw in the elevator was shocking (laughs)†Q: Do you order something new for the first time when you go to restaurants?I’m a type of person who only go to the restaurants I go often and order the same thing. There is nothing more hollow than making my own stomach full with tasteless meal. I’m a way more conservative person when it comes to meal. Q: On your first date, what kind of outfit do you want your date to wear?A loose top and mini skirt or skinny jeans, so that I can see the shape of her legs. Eh? It’s too detailed? (laughs). I like girls who have nice legs. I have to check it on our first date! Q: Your first meeting with your members. Who left the biggest impact?It’s Kikwang! (laughs). I felt a little bit of uneasiness towards my trainee life when I saw him who wore a headband on his shoulder-length long hair, he looked like someone who left his home (laughs). I was a bit nervous about him and my first impression of him was “So he’s the rumored oneâ€. I heard he was a mysterious type of person, but he was more mysterious than I imagined. Q: On your first date, what kind of outfit do you want your date to wear?I’ll basically just leave it up to her, but rather than strong hip hop feel, I like feminine style more. Like swinging skirt in the wind. Q: What was the last thing you experienced for the first time?White sneakers! It gets dirty so quickly and makes me feet look smaller, so I was kind of avoiding it. But I made white sneakers debut this spring after I looked up to one fashionista. I think it suits me pretty well. Dongwoon “I went to travel just by myself for the first time. I went to airport by bus and it was very adventurous†Q: What was the last thing you experienced for the first time?Finally in February, something I yearned for came true – a trip by myself. I even went just by myself to the airport by bus. My destination was Kota Kinabalu island in Malaysia. I swam in the beautiful ocean and did some shopping. There was not a lot of tourists from Korea, so I relaxed really well without being noticed. Q: What was your first filial act towards your parents?I think the best filial act that child can do is showing himself that he’s doing his best to their parents. So I think doing my best as a member of BEAST is a filial act for my parents. Q: When did you first thought that you’re a celebrity?I don’t hold much boast/pride as being a celebrity but if I really have to say, it was when I saw our debut showcase on TV. It still feels strange when I see myself on TV.
