A notorious gunslinger by the name of Krystal is the most wanted bandit in a post apocalyptic West Korea. When she isn't scaring off her bounty hunters, she's hunting what she considers the real criminals of the west: devils. Devils have created a new era of terror bestowing ruin and anguish upon the world and its cowardly people. Alongside Krystal is Sohyun, a woman with extraordinary fighting skills but with the mind of a child due to amnesia. She follows Krystal devotedly but oblivious to her situation. As soon as she comes to her senses Krystal vows to keep her promise and kill her.

The idea spawned in 2014 but I never followed up on it. Now, since I decided to post a fic, this will be the story. I'll post as I write each chapter. Feedback and criticism are appreciated.

I hope you're not planning on making them a couple

This plot reminds me a bit of Serenity

The should maybe be around four chapters in total. Depending.

Chapter oo1
"Go talk to the Devil and ask him who is he He'll tell you that he wish he was hotter than me"
Montana of 300

“Please. No.†The older man’s eyes cocked at the colt navy revolver one inch away and aimed at the bridge of his nose. He sat in a fetal position; his back against the stable wall and could hear the distant sounds of men and prospectors lollygagging where they could not in return hear him. On the other end of the weapon was Krystal who used her thumb to casually pull the revolver’s hammer back slowly, a dreadful clicking sound that churned the man’s stomach. She tilted her head sideways and had a smile that was unforgiving. A black eyepatch covered her left eye but a sense of wrath was told in the other. She asked him again,

“Why have you allowed a devil to use your body as a vessel?â€

“I already told you!†He spat nervously, “There have been no devils in this district. It’s nearly a ghost town.â€

“That it is.†Her hand held the gun steady, not even wavering. She could squeeze the trigger without him knowing, really. “I wonder how a creature such as yourself has been surviving under such pitiful conditions. Are you eating animals?â€

His hand shook, gesturing “no†to anything she was saying. “I don’t eat red meat and I don’t even like people. Please. I’m just an innocent man making an honest living.â€

They always lied. She didn't know what prompted them to tell stories when their demeanor told it all. Peeling skin from the rotten beast within them, and he reeked of blood. It was in his clothes and his nails were stained in residue. She made a wincing sound that translated to “tough shitâ€.

“Come out come out wherever you are.†She pulled the trigger and her colt navy screamed. Laughter continued outdoors so no one heard. The chain from Sohyun’s neck shackle moved slowly as she did. Her right hand balled over her lips shyly.

“Devil man was bad?†She asked almost sadly. She never liked initiating violence when people were minding their business. Krystal tucked her colt navy into the inside of her trench coat and removed the T-model lever from across her back.

“They’re all bad.†She answered cocking the gun and taking a few steps back. The dead body jerked and squirmed. Sohyun stood still and watched the devil rip itself away from its host’s body. It was a lot smaller than they imagined. The size of a child but quite bulky. The host had been feeding it more than animals it seemed.

“So you finally show that ugly face of yours.†Krystal stuck her tongue out at the short devil. His skin was charcoal like the rest, eyes a fiery red. It spoke in its hellish language she learned to decode.

“Where is the blue woman?†She communicated in the unworldly tongue. His response:
“Fuck off.â€

“Useless monster.â€

There wasn't much to put up with. The devil was dispersed in a moment. He jumped and got shot. That’s what happens when Krystal is wielding a gun.

† † †

“A room for two, please.†The two females stood at the empty desk waiting for the hostess to finish her round of serving drinks. The inn that also worked as a saloon was filled with loud and drunk men. The smell that permitted in the room made Krystal stick two fingers in her nostrils. “If the next reasonable town wasn't over a hundred miles away we’d be out of this shit hole.â€

“Sohyun doesn’t like smell.†Sohyun mentioned. The hostess traveled over to the front desk and greeted the girls.

“And what can I do you two lovelies for?â€

“A room.†Krystal repeated. She took off her round hat and placed it on the desk surface. Her other hand was entwined with the thick chain connected to Sohyun. So she wouldn't wonder off. “You ever seen a naked woman with blue skin?â€

The woman jumped and touched her nearly bare chest. She laughed. “Heavens no! Such a person exists?â€

“Nevermind. It’s pointless if you don’t know. How much for a room with two beds?â€

“50 USD.â€

“USD?†Krystal spat loudly over the wining music. Some of the men drew their eyes toward her. She only had Won and very little of it. She could barely survive off of that let alone provide a currency that hardly cycled on their side of the world. They might as well had burn every Korean bill there ever was. Or given them all to Krystal. “Our own country doesn’t even accept its own money. The world truly has gone to hell.â€

"Since you're so lovely I'll take whatever you have. However, it'll only permit you a night's stay with one bed."

"Fine by me." Krystal bargained laying down the paper bills but only giving the woman half.

"Excellent. We'll just need to get the key from the innkeeper."

"Oh yeah? Where might he be?"

The woman placed her fists on her hips and looked curiously. "Who knows, the man's been gone quite some time now. He said he was going to the stable to check on something and he hasn't been back since."

Sohyun snorted. Krystal stared at the woman hard and looked both confused and angry. "I...might have seen a man...out in the stables on the way in." She stated. "Might want to check on that."

The hostess did just that and Sohyun continued to laugh. Krystal shifted her gaze over to her, wondering if the younger girl understood why she was laughing. If she even knew what the word "irony" meant.

"Could you be more blatant that we had something to do with it?" She warned. Sohyun stopped and thought to herself.

"What's blatant?" She asked.

The hostess came back into the inn wailing, horrified, and asking god why (in which some of the customers told her that it was because god hated her). Krystal put her hat back on and pulled it over her face as much as she could. The hostess sat across the room crying about murder and bystanders went to witness the crime scene.

"So about that room..."

The hostess wasn't any help. She cried and talked to bystanders about how anyone could harm such a man and why was there a large tear in his face. Krystal rolled her eyes and almost regretted her unworthy kill but the stable boy took over and presumed his duties.

"I'll aide the two of you to your room. We'll take the lift." He led them to the old elevator out of the saloon area. The male looked to be around their age, with fair blonde hair and a young face.

"What's your name again?" Krystal asked standing behind him in the lift. Sohyun clung to her shoulder, tired from the long day of traveling. Krystal shook her arm in an attempt to shrug Sohyun off.

"Taemin." He revealed.

"Taemin, you ever seen a naked woman with blue skin?"

"Quite frankly I've never seen any woman naked."
This time Krystal snorted and Sohyun cooed him. He shook his head, annoyed but used to the pity. They reached the third floor and ventured out into the hall of rooms. Taemin sifted through the set of keys and unlocked their door. A cool musty smell escaped and made Sohyun cough.

Taemin presented it lamely. "Well...here it is."

"Did you know the innkeeper well, Taemin?" Krystal continued to ask leading question, "What was he like?"

"Like? For one he was a creep and an asshole. Barely paid me. Don't think he deserved to die though."

"Ok." That was her fill of being as human as she could for the day and she let go of the fake smile she had been putting on since their meet.  Before leaving Taemin added one more dire fact.

There's only one bath towel set so if you need any more just come find me."

The girls had barely placed their foot into the door but turned around nearly knocking each other down.

"Did you just say bath towels?" Krystal asked sharply. "That means..." Taemin nodded nervously while the girls faced each other with serious expressions. "Shower!" They both screamed. They practically killed each other getting to the first indoor bathroom they've encountered since a time they'd rather not mention. The latrine door was kicked open and a smell worse than the room itself slapped them in the faces. Krystal wretched. The tub was stained with god-knows-what and there was a scene uglier than any devil she had killed lurking in the commode.

"You first." She told Sohyun. Sohyun was reluctant and afraid, but she tossed her clothes aside and decided to shower. Krystal turned a flipped over coffee table upright. She took off her leather trench coat and sat down her navy colt, the T-model lever, the machete, and a pink berretta. She was red on grenades. They were all forced down the throats of a few ill-mannered speaking devils. There was once she had to use it on those Liberals of Christ cunts. Instead of relying on the greed of hunters after the astronomical bounty they placed on the girls' heads, they decided to send out their soldiers on one attempt. It didn't end well, for either sides, but the LOC got fucked up worse to say the least. Krystal couldn't remember how long this hunt had been going on. Just when did it start and how did she become a criminal?

"Sohyun's clean!" Krystal didn't bother to turn her head around. She knew Sohyun would be naked, not interested in putting back on her smelly garments. She ignored it for as long as she could until two wet arms sneaked their away around her neck. Sohyun's face came close to hers looking stupid and feeling free. "Shower refreshing."

"I bet it was. I wonder what diseases you've contracted in that cesspool of filth."
Sohyun pouted and skipped to the bed. She was still naked and planned on staying that way for the rest of the night.

"Get off." Krystal ordered, daring to put her foot with her dirty boot still on it up Sohyun's ass. "You sleep on the floor."

"Floor cold!" Sohyun protested. "Sohyun cold."

"Ask me if I care." She pulled the naked girl by her shackles from the small bed and didn't care where she'd go after. There was a wooden chair but that might've caused splinters. Krystal collapsed onto the bed comfortably. She kicked her boots off and stretched herself leaving no room. "Wake me at dawn."

Sohyun sat in the fetal position on the floor, still pouting, still butt ass naked. "Floor cold." Regardless she was out like a light in a matter of seconds. Krystal sat upright, the room quiet, the day ending and the innkeeper's body being buried somewhere. She looked at Sohyun, sound asleep, and told the girl in her subconsciousness what she always said to convince herself...and to remind herself.

"I hate you."

† † †

"We're on TV!" Sohyun pointed and ooh'd at the small static television box in the corner of the saloon displaying a faint daily news. Their faces were clearly on the screen with the addition of a "wanted" label and a bounty to make things interesting. The LOC were advertising their obsession once again, Krystal thought, while she stood at the front desk trying to pay Sohyun at the other side of the room no mind. She wanted coffee but Taemin told her they were out of stock and the hostess was grieving so she couldn't buy any.

"That useless wench, was she fucking the innkeeper or something?"

"She was actually." Taemin replied. He brought her a glass of orange juice instead, and Krystal didn't bother to ask where it came from. Best not to know. There hadn’t been any fresh fruit grown in decades. She gave Taemin a fake smile.

"Thanks." He smiled back, and Krystal never noticed how pretty it was until it was completely distorted by a large blade, the size of his head, puncturing his face. The blade was attached to a chain. Krystal snapped her head back. Sohyun was in the arms of a large man and on a table next to him was a slim woman holding on to the chain blade. She snapped it back, freeing itself from Taemin's dead body. Any customer that had remained the few moments prior were now across town.

"If it isn't the Lost Girls." The woman sneered. Her teeth were awfully yellow and she was underweight. Krystal had no time for these clowns.

"Why'd you kill the stable boy?" She asked dully. If anything he did not deserve to die because of her. He was pitiful. And a virgin. He should not have died.

"I was aiming for your head." The woman spoke confidently but didn't realize she clarified that she was a terrible aim. Krystal looked at Sohyun. The large man had her chain up to her neck shackle wrapped around his arm. She looked frightened and gasped for air. Krystal wondered why she was crying until she noticed she pissed in her shorts. The gunslinger cackled.

"You two fools really fucked up." She announced. The dumb duo exchanged looks and growled at Krystal.

"It is you who’s the fool. Completely outmatched by my bird blade and my Gruff, who’s stronger than any tank." The woman spat at the ground, riled up by Krystal's nonchalant demeanor. Krystal smiled.

"Even a tank can't survive a powerful jet plane."

The man that went by the name of Gruff screamed. Blood sprayed from the empty socket where his arm should have been. The duo looked at the seemingly harmless girl they took as their capture. She had a different look about her face. It wasn’t afraid and it damn sure wasn’t harmless. Sohyun's chains loosened and Gruff's limb remained in her grip. The woman with the blade hurled it in front of Sohyun’s face, missing, again. Sohyun used Gruff's large arm to snap the woman's body off the table. She flew towards the back of the room, crashing into the brick wall and falling roughly. Krystal winced and almost felt sorry for the duo. Almost. Gruff had somehow managed to regain a bit of his senses. With his remaining arm he grabbed Sohyun by her braid and yanked her down. As soon as she fell she kicked herself back to a standing position. The top of her foot quickly made its way to his neck, and he died instantly.

“You bitch.†His partner coughed up phlegm and blood while she struggled to stand. Sohyun helped her up by her neck. She gripped tightly around the woman's throat, digging her nails in. Krystal turned her head, the sound was enough.

There was an unsatisfied quiet after. Sohyun’s hands were stained again. Blood marked her face and when she touched it, as if the substance was foreign, she went back to her old self and seemed afraid. Then she wept. Krystal sighed and shook her head. People should have known better than to target a lunatic. She grabbed the set of keys from behind the unoccupied desk. There was no one that could stop her anyway.

"Sohyun. Let's go take another shower."
