But at the same time, a very very large amount of underground rappers do not have a voice and their rhymes don't get heard. Think of it this way... would you rather be labeled an idol rapper w/ the whole rap stigma bs that comes along with it, but still be able to write your own raps and have millions of people buy your songs and listen/enjoy them? or would you rather be labeled an underground rapper w/out the stigma, but not have even half the idol amount of people listening to your material? Say you chose the former...by going on SMTM, you would have the chance to both sell a lot of albums, gain thousands of fans, and have your voice be heard, all the while casting away the idol stigma. Idol rappers appearing on the show and doing well are able to prove that they don't need corporate assistance to succeed in making music and that they aren't just the dead-weight in their group. Sometimes sacrifices have to be made to achieve your dreams, even if that means selling your soul to the devil...SMTM is the loophole for idol rappers to be able to have their cake and eat it too.
